Glasgow...... is that really you?!
-
what the hell is this?

Don't apologise, this thread is more entertaining than watching avatar in 3d. I think you should get a full years swf membership for free.
-
There is so much going on in this thread that I don't understand. I'm off to start another thread about the moaners.
-
These players should have enough experience playing on crap pitches. They won't have gone their whole careers only ever playing on the finest pitches. They are professional football players and as such should be able to adapt and play on most surfaces. Alternatively, if they really need practise they can come play for my team in the Sunday league and then they will really see some **** pitches
-
On the other hand, all teams which have beaten them will be docked the points which should be the majority of our play offs rivals (I'm assuming). Some may have already played and beaten them twice so it may work out in our favour
-
Whats the point then? You could go to Wembley any season you like if it's just a day out you want.
-
This is true however the thread by tijuana tim about late goals showed that there are some exceptions to the norm. As to why eveyone can't get on. This is a good question but I think it comes down to people's inability not to take this place and themselves too seriously.

I heard we are going to strap the JPT on Anthony Pulis' back make him crawl through the high street. We need to put him to use for a change

Will you go when we reach the promised land...
Dig Dig replied to Legod Third Coming's topic in The Saints
well they had better get used to the idea that we are most probably going to get back to the prem.... we don't have a billionaire owner who would be happy to loiter in league one just because some of our fans like the hotdogs at Wycombe -
tbf not every prem player has blistering pace. If that's his only flaw then he could still make it as a prem player. He just needs to be used in the right way
-
And I should hope so too GM. What an utterly obsurd thing to say. As much as I love southampton fc I am moving to South Africa in a couple of years and I'm glad that I wouldn't let SFC stop me! Would be pretty pathetic imo to do let it do so.
-
Met him a couple of times also via his brother and he is all of the above. Loves Saints as well, would have him back without any hesitation

Does that little wink suggest you are ITK Mark?

I think that this is one of the key distinctions between the position we are in now now and how we were under the old regime for two reasons: 1. should any player leave, it will most likely be on our terms and for the amount that we feel the player is worth 2. should any player leave, we have enough clout to replace quality with quality (around the CC and league 1 that is)

+2! If I was asked to move to Hull, even for a better job with more money I'd tell them to **** off!
-
every team in every league in every land has a Wycombe or a Swindon etc. Our imminent goal is to minimise these as much as we can. if we can do that I personally don't think we have too much to moan about.

But in light of this thread the post was relevant to what was being discussed and I happen to agree that the direction in which alot of topics and threads go follow the same old familiar routine. The debate tends to trends towards posters against posters rather than posts against posts which is a shame and does put people off contributing more.
-
Completely uneccessary reaction to someone who has taken the time to put forward their opinion. He didn't even name you personally. If you feel that you are one of the six mentioned then thats your problem.
-
Spot on snail. It is a shame that most threads recently tend to get hijacked by a handful of posters who will use most thread subjects to try and ram home their own viewpoints. All too often people just come in to snipe and get a reaction rather than offer a reasonable debate or observation.
