  1. No TV streams. Lots of premiership games on today, we're not going to get covered.
  2. If this is all you're going to say all afternoon, then **** off to Readings forum. Seriously, support the team or **** off.
  3. They took advantage of his high profile performances for us, and put a price upwards of £1m on his head which is madness. He's never a £1m player. That's why we moved on and he dossed around for a few months.
  4. No ambrose, Parr, Jedinak, Murray, Easter, Wright, Williams - all first team players. (Ambrose is a sub though tbf)
  5. He only really has pace though, he's got no real ability other than that. He was great for us though in L1, so I only have fond memories of him - but I think L1 is his level tbh. Defenders at this level are a little more wise and will deal with him without much issue.
  6. This is the palace team: Speroni, Clyne, McCarthy, Dikgacoi, Scannell, Zaha, Moxey, Parsons, O'Keefe, Martin, De Silva 5 youth team products in the side, 2 making their professional debuts. They will have no fear.
  7. Good contribution. Do you have anything useful to add?
  8. The WHU V Brum is a late kick off mate, on Sky at 5pm I think.
  9. That's just an article on an uninformed Crystal Palace fan site. He is out for the season.

    At last - some sense!!
  11. We can defend, that's a bit of a silly statement to make. I believe we have the 2nd best defensive record in the league, but yesterday - we were sloppy. We did give Norris too much space and that was inexcusable at the time, but it doesn't mean we can't defend. At this stage of the season you just need to get results and that goes for both teams, they're not going to let us get the ball down and take the micky as we were able to do earlier in the season. Team's have sussed us out to a degree, but having the option of Lambert up front makes us unpredictable - and if you want to win games, sometimes you just need to take a touch and lift it - get lambo knocking it down and players in and around. This stage of the season isn't about being pretty, it's about getting the results. I think the fans were just nervous, there was alot of nervous tension in the air. It was a big game in terms of promotion for us and it was on edge for quite a long time - I don't think we ever had total control and they kept having these scary break aways every now and then. Let's see how we feel this time tomorrow, there are alot of games to be played in 14 days and believe me - so much will change. How it looks now will not be how it looks in 14 days time, we will all drop points but it's about who has the mental resolve to get over that line. Reading look to be well pumped up for this and they do not want to end up in the playoffs again, we have the recent experience of last year and alot of players that would dream of playing in the premier league (and may never get the chance again). WHU are in the dodgiest territory. They are expected to win, they are currently in the worst position. Their home form has been poor because their fans expect too much too soon (that won't change either), they have more home games left than either of us - that IMO will be pivotal It may not be decided until the last day, but as long as we're still there on the final day of the season with it in our hands - then we'll do it. Just believe.
  12. Absolutely, there are no 'given' results at this stage of the year and this time of the year often springs up the most bizarre results, so we need to keep our guard (which I'm sure we will because we've been consistent all year). Do not expect WHU or Reading to win all of their remaining games, and the same goes for us. Lots of twists and turns and unexpected things will happen. It's exciting though isn't it?
  13. Probably right. That comment alone shows how close we are and any slip up from the teams below us and it could be curtains. We'd then be 7pts in front, with WHU only having 12 pts to play for. They'd realistically have to win all 4 games and we'd have to lose 90% of ours to then fail. As weirdly deflated everyone is today, by 8pm tomorrow we could all be as high as kite.
  14. If those set of results happen then we've won the league! So hopefully they do win their last 5!
  15. It's a 3 horse race, Birmingham will not get involved. The plus for them is that they are going into the playoffs with momentum, I fear for anyone who has to play them.
  16. The team is full of leaders. Fonte, Dean, Lambert, Kelvin - even morgan to a degree, they've all been captain at some stage and they're all leaders on and off the pitch. We do not lack leaders.
  17. If we stagger over the line I couldn't give a ****ing ****, as long as we do it - which we will. Have some balls because you are such a bloody bedwetter, the worst guy to have around when you want some support. If you thought that the title would have been sewn up early on then you continue to show your complete lack of knowledge in regards to football, whenever is it that simple? There will still be twists and turns, but at the moment we are still in pole position. To say we don't do the big occasion is utter moronic. This team has been up for the big occasion in the last 3 seasons, and they will come over the line in the end. Show some guts and actually support them over the line.
  18. Snodgrass is a wide player......
  19. Pretty much spot on. We always get threads like this after we fail to win a couple of games. In an ideal world we need a midfielder who can get his foot on the ball and move forwards. Simple as that. Morgan gave us the composure, but didn't get forward a great deal.
  20. Have a word with yourself trousers! Letting us all down...
  21. People quite often mis-read Hammonds role, he's not in the team to do anything special. He's in there to be tenacious, keep the shape and lead the midfield. I felt he put in alot of effort yesterday and was very tenacious in his play, along with Cork. The problem is that they're both quite similar and neither of them got their foot on the ball like they can, we just missed Morgan's composure. I don't think Hammond will be a regular in the premiership, but he'll still be a squad player for us and would still do a job.
  22. Not sure if he was ever injured, he just hasn't been great for us. His performance in the first half against Leeds is still fresh in my memory, he was absolutely useless. Much more useless than Guly has ever been, and I don't think he's been in the team since then. A shame really as I thought he'd take his chance, but for some reason he doesn't 'fit' here.

He's obviously not showing much in training, or I'm sure he'd have been a sub before De Ridder.
  24. It's not really key. We could drop points here then win against Boro and Reading. At the end of the day we need around 7 points, we have 15 available.

He didn't play well yesterday, but does anyone remember a moment in the game (around 20mins I think) where he took a great touch, and flicked the ball up and over his head...it didn't quite come off, but it was a great attempt. What happens? He gets jeered and heckled. If Lallana tries an outrageous bit of skill like that, and fails, he's applauded. This is the difference. He didn't play well, but who could against the back drop of vile abuse? I heard some horrendous things directed at him yesterday that I'm not even going to bother to repeat. This season has been amazing and I personally don't think anyone deserves to be a scapegoat this year, they've all performed - but for some reason we seem to want to find one, and boy have we got one here. He will hear the jeering, but I hope he doesn't hear some of the comments I hear. The celebrating when he was being subbed yesterday was uncalled for too. Get a grip guys.
