here goes the 2nd half.
-
I must admit, I've tried to convince myself that tonight would be relaxing viewing as it'll be in our hands whatever. But I feel sick at this moment.
-
Yep, a certain Mr Chaplow galvanized our midfield and turned us around.
-
He's scored some important goals and hasn't been as bad as half harp on about, but he's not in contention for player of the season. That's just silly.
-
It will be like the Birmingham game in the 2nd half IMO, but Leicester haven't got that 2 goal advantage.
-
I think he's crap personally, well past it. WHU fans agree too. Noble on the other hand is someone I'd snap up.
-
Without a doubt, WHU look full of goals tonight. But we'll go into the final day with it in our hands.....brilliant position.
-
The first season in the championship under Burley, funnily enough our final game of the season was at home to Leicester if i remember right! I'll never forget the FT whistle and the bloke in front of me looking so ecstatic as he said ''WE'VE FINISHED IN THE TOP HALF!!!!"

A very intense game so far, credit to Leicester who have put alot into that first half - but West Ham are forcing the play and looking the more dangerous by a mile. If West Ham continue to play like they have and force the chances that they have, it's difficult to see past them scoring a couple. Let's just hope Leicester hit them on the break as Marshall and Dyer on the flanks are frightening.

He is currently preparing his posts in advance.

Exactly! But i just know the mindsets of people on this site, if WHU win all will be over.(!)!)
-
It doesn't help that the echo are running a live 'chat' feed for this game. It's being built up too much! Everyone will end up deflated going into Saturday...
-
Wouldn't suprise me if that's the case, their owners are hot heads to say the least. They want success and they want it now. and to be fair 15m spent in the championship should kind of equal at least a playoff place, if managed properlly.
-
This. Or half as well as we did against the skates. We've played pretty well in our last 2 home games, but we've come unstuck due to outrageous finishing or breakaway goals.
-
That's what I fear will happen. Everytime WHU have a big win it's all over.
-
To be fair, if they were wearing a jester hat or a wig, then that's up to them. They still forked out **** loads to do a 600 mile round trip, whatever they wore they still showed up in decent numbers to be fair. Maybe not as many as we could have, but it was still a decent turn out in my books.

I will watch the game and won't worry too much about it, in the worst case we're still 2 pts ahead with a game at home on the last day. Couldn't have asked for a better end.
-
It won't be easy, as with all game in this league, but we really couldn't be asking for a better game. They've lost their captain and player of the season (he was sent off on saturday). Their midfielder, Sammy Clingan, is out injured for the season and Alex Nimley on loan from City is also injured. You couldn't ask for a better game, seriously. The gods must be looking after us!
-
We will be promoted on Saturday, do not expect Leicester to do anything tonight - it will just lead to mass disappointment by 10pm tonight. The fact is that even if they win, we're 2 pts clear, with a better GD, and at home to a depleted and relegated Coventry city on the last day. Don't panic if WHU win tonight is all I'm trying to say.
-
I don't think I'd be calm by just throwing away 1k, but each to their own!
-
There were a couple of Boro injuries and a Boro sub if i remember right.
-
I might be wrong on this, but I think Drinkwater got one for Barnsley (or he might have set one up...?) - where he was on loan at the time. A week later Leicester signed him permanently and he's now a fixture in their midfield.
-
I think we're limping over the line as we're carrying quite a few knocks, and we're trying to get players through IMO. Lambert is one that has to be carrying a knock, and as you said, possibly Lallana too. I also don't think Fonte looks that comfortable at times, especially when he's turned - he seems to have lost a yard and a bit of strength. It's the culmination of a very grueling season - but thankfully on the whole we've been very consistent all year, which means that we are possibly able to afford this.

Excellent review Chez, called it all spot on IMO.
