Reading won't wobble now, trust me. They have 2 home bankers to wrap up the title.

I have to say that is a load of rubbish. I've not been Sharp's biggest fan since he's been here, but I thought he was pretty good tonight. Put himself about well, linked up well with Lambert, made clever runs down the sides of the CB's. Oh, and got an assits for Lamberts goal - so he did create a goal for someone else. Maybe you need to watch it again. To get promotion we will have to play like that, but just cutting out the mistakes. We were terrific tonight, have a re-watch of the game to see for yourself. Agree with Butterfield though, thought he had a very decent game.

Not at this stage of the season, no way. These lads got us there and they will get us over the line. Believe.
-
away at a galvanized and playoff chasing Leicester too, IMO this is done and dusted as long as we beat P'boro as I cannot see us slipping up at home to Coventry, we will have way too much for them.

Bit premature, maybe. and a little bit harsh on Fonte, people are jumping on his back a bit tonight after his horror show but he's not a bad defender at all - he'd do a job up there, no worries. Fox is decent, but I have question marks over him up against top players. He seems to have lapses which will get punished time and time again in the premier league. The main priority for me is to sign a proper attacking midfielder, someone who can score loads of goals from midfield. They'd go onto the right side of the diamond. Our right side is so disjointed at the mo, Chaplow is the cloest player we have to making us 'tick' down that side. We do need another striker too, not sure it's out and out pace...but someone with guile and quality - who is young enough to improve. Someone like Jay Rodriquez would be excellent.

We will obviously sign a few players in the summer, whatever happens, but don't expect wholesale changes. People said that half of our team couldn't do it at this level after a defeat to Wallall in L1, but in truth - they're all perfectly adequate and many have done a great job and look fine at this level, the same will happen in the premier league if we get there. I'd expect Rickie to score, he's clearly good enough, Lallana will be a threat, Morgan and Cork will be an excellent partnership in the middle. The only question marks I have would be right midfield, depth at full back and potentially another striker. 3 or 4 top quality additions in the summer, as we did this year, will see us make a good account for ourselves if we get there.

We were luckier at Leeds

He was **** tbf. Wound me right up all night, but it's what I expected from him. A soon to be demoted premier league referee.
-
I thought Jason Roberts was excellent and exactly what you look for in a centre forward, he's much quicker than I thought he was too. He'd still score goals in the premier league without any problems, so it's no suprise he's causing damage at this level.

The majority of our fans just haven't got the stomach. I was sat next to someone who muttered the words ''Pointless even bothering for the next 3 matches, we're not going up. Fiar play west ham" - that was after we went 1-0 down on 20mins. If our players were as weedy as them we'd be bottom, cast adrift.

Grow a pair.

Just seen a replay of the third, holy ****. Horrific.

Not sure, I think we lacked a bit of control when he went off...but I didn't think he was playing particularly well if I'm honest. He had a few moments where he was sloppy with the ball and gave it away cheaply (And free kicks, yellow already) and that was enough for Adkins. I think he wanted us to be a bit more direct and have a bit more pace, and we did to a degree although he still lacked any real final product.

This!!!

Not on TV as far as I know, the Saturday game against Boro is though.
-
If we win this then we're right back in the driving seat. I expect WHU to win against Brighton and to easily win against Bristol City. If we win on tuesday we're almost there and we take it to the last day, or even better...we can do it @ Boro. That would be a special day.
-
Not sure why anyone is criticizing him tonight, he was put into a central position and was told to play from the middle. If a pass is on to retain the ball, play it. To be honest with the way the fans have been getting on his back, the last thing he probably wants to try and do is a hollywood forward pass. He did nothing wrong tonight for the position he was asked to play in.
-
I would hope he takes the players in, shows the the video from this game - highlights the individual errors and then draws a blue line under it.
-
WHU level with us by next weekend. :-(
S-Clarke replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
As much as the players need to put this result behind them, so do we. Blue line and all that. Go to posh, get a win, pick up something @ boro and take it to the last day. Happy with that. -
He was poor, stripped by Le Fondre on numerous occasions when he came on and made everyone a bit nervous. But players make mistakes and they have bad games, unfortunately this was the night for his bad game - but you cannot ignore his contribution over the season.
-
He was more involved than Chaplow, who had a mare and it was nice to see some natrual width out there. I still personally think he flatters to deceive though.
-
Yep, but let's be honest...they won't. Brighton are pants.
-
It wasn't a bad performance from us at all, but we were undone with criminal lapses of concentration - exactly the same as in the Pompey game. We need to sort that out, and fast. Fox was abysmal all night, his ball retention was non existent and he was at fault for the first goal, no question about that. He played a stupid square pass to no one, we were out of position and reading pounced. Nice one fox. The 2nd goal was pretty much another breakaway, we lost out in midfield through another sloppy bit of play (when we actually had the ball...) and they broke, skinned Fox and then it fell to Le Fondre. The 3rd goal was inevitable with the way we were pressing, and they just hit us. We dominated the game though to be honest. We just lacked that clinical finish and a consistent final pass, we had it once...but not enough. Unfortunately tonight was one of those nights where individual mistakes were punished, and if you give opportunities to players like Kebe and Roberts then you've got no chance. The title has gone now, which is devastating for me because i wanted to see us win a league, but with Reading playing 2 home bankers they have that wrapped up - no worries. We just need to keep our composure and do the business at posh, get a win there and we take it to the last day against Coventry. I'll be happy with that, but still bloody disappointed we didn't win the league. The message tonight though is - chin up, we were hit by 3 sucker punches today but can take alot of heart from the display. We're 3 games from the premier league.

From a reading fan: Karacan, Connolly and Tabb are definitely out. Robson-Kanu and Leigertwood will have late fitness tests but expectation is that both will fail

to be honest, if it's ADSL, then the speeds are dictated by the quality of your line and the distance from the exchange. If you pop your postcode into the 02 checker then it might give you an estimation of the speed you can expect to get. Can't comment on the reliability, so i'll let someone else who's used 02 to comment on that.
