Where has this greogry vignal rumour popped up from? i've seen it come up on some other forums now as well. Why would we want another LB?

half of this crap thrown around about Cortese is unsubstantiated rumour, nothing else. All we ever hear is the other side of the story, not the clubs - if there even is a story. Cortese isn't the most approachable of guys, but he's a proven successful guy and is trusted to manage billionaires investments (not just markus, but it was his previous job with the bank in Switzerland). All this talk just screams of certain people trying to rock the boat because they are not able to come across as ''important'' any more.

sounds to me like 2 rumours have got merged into one there. Carter is the guy we've apparently agreed a 1.2m fee for.

Trialist i'd guess, club would have announced if he'd signed (they would have had to i think) Hopefully there's an option to take him on loan.

Carter really struggled for PNE and their fans could not stand him, but i think that's got more to do with their situation rather than him as a player. He was always pretty highly rated when at Brum and was decent for WBA in our play-off season. He's too good for this level anyway, would be a good signing - but wouldn't want to see us pay over £1m for him.

Cortese has probably pulled the deal by now, seeing as it leaked out before it was offically annouced.

i hope your player ITK isn't lambo, otherwise Cortese may banish him to the St Mary's Cells for the season.
