  1. Nutshell.
  2. First, he is not defensively better. Second, our defence is excellent.
  3. Djaoanne Bellly.
  4. Waynkie Brinnet. (sorry, Deppo)
  5. Leeandre Barffit.
  6. Peguley.
  7. Jorsh Holder-Spoontton-Black.
  8. Dexnny Blackborne.
  9. TBH, you come across as one of the angriest and most aggressive people using this forum.
  10. Why do you want me (assuming you're talking to me) to "defend" these things? FWIW, I think the talk of a no-fly zone was silly. I recently started a thread saying that we should cut our defence spend to £0 so that should give you some idea of what I think about arms dealing. I'm not particularly interested in Quintin Hogg; as we have seen, Hogg is not alone when it comes to being a prize **** at Westminster. I don't know why Cameron wanted to make him a peer. Perhaps Hogg has done all sorts of great things. Frankly, I don't know. The moat situation was obviously ludicrous but it's clear that huge numbers of MPs used the expenses system to supplement their parliamentary income. Whether they played the property fiddle, downloaded porn, gave family members a summer job or cleaned their moat is pretty much immaterial but I don't think we're suggesting that any MP who ever made an expense claim against the background of that systematic convention should be barred from the Lords are we? Maybe we are. Or maybe we're just choosing one example because we have an irrational dislike of rich people. What I find hard to defend is the sort of sad and puerile point scoring that characterises political debate.
  11. Doubt it. Probably playing cribbage and Risk.
  12. It would be a laugh if a similar process was introduced for the final relegation place in each division.
  13. Keeps the division more interesting (usually). Maybe not completely meritocratic but I think it's a consideration which can't just be dismissed.
  14. Don't like the idea of playing off against the higher division, particularly given the financial inequalities between them. I quite like the play-offs as they are. Perhaps the semi-finals should be one legged affairs with the 3rd and 4th placed teams at home. That should weight it a bit more. I'm not too sure I like the idea of the 3rd place team coming in later in the process.
  15. Doubt it. I expect they were listening to music and having a bit of banter etc.
  16. Man U generally are pants now. They are going to be completely screwed if Nani is injured for a while. They have been fortunate that the other "top" clubs are also weak at the moment.
  17. Not a penis, just a glans, apparently.
  18. Good shout.
  19. P'boro also only have 5 home games left, including against Bournemouth.
  20. In fact, having looked at the table in a bit more detail today I am more confident than ever. Brighton have one more point than us away from home in the same number of away games. Huddersfield have one more point than us from one more away game. No one else is really close. Bournemouth have played the same number of aways and have 3 fewer points. Bournemouth have only 5 home games left, one of which is obviously against us. There is no reason not to be confident. If we can win our home games, the aways should take care of themselves.
  21. The reason we do not already have one foot in the division above is our first four home games. Two points. Even if we had collected a paltry 6 points from our first four home games everyone (well nearly) would be completely confident of us going up.
  22. TBF, I think that is what we are trying to do. Good idea all the same though.
  23. No, it's exactly the point. This is a thread about form. Therefore it is going to involve looking at form.
  24. So that's 1.75 ppg away average. 2.5 ppg home average. If that is maintained: 12.25 points away from 7 games to play + 17.5 points from 7 home games. Lets's call it 17 and 12. 29 more points. That would give us 84. We would be pretty unlucky not to go up with that but it could be close. Just goes to show that home form is still key though. If we can win all 7 home games then our current away form would see us end with nigh on 90 points.
  25. Not really.
