The Burnham Years - Can the new(ish) broom sweep clean?
benjii replied to iansums's topic in The Lounge
There's something grubby about this, but he's in now so let's hope he has some sensible policy ideas and doesn't undermine any good stuff with anything too whacky. -
Hope the cunt gets sent down for ages, although wouldn't be shocked if the US refuses to send him over.

Romee O'Akachukwu played with a swagger. Looks like a fun player.

So was Saka actually fit enough to play 90 mins earlier in the tourney? Still doesn't paper over Tuchel's disasterclass the other night.

Most players look quite sharp to me.
-
Yeah, miserable.

Jander going off injured. Brilliant.

Teddy Sheringham. He had a yard of pace in his head, you know.

Cole Palmer. Leave him at home and take Madueke and Henderson.

Fuck's sake. Having a baby on the 8th and will miss this.

We were the better team and winning the match. Then the manager changed the shape and the approach and we were waiting for trouble. You are odd.

Tim Vickery always nails it.

Yeah, scared to take Kane off. We also failed to get tighter on our left side, where virtually every attack was coming from.
-
Unfortunately Tuchel has proper fucked this.

Someone's had too much chilli sauce on their kebab.

I think Saka is having his minutes managed. He's obviously the best option.

Hopefully last night hasn't taken too much out of Anderson, Kane and Bellingham. Atlanta will be circa 30 degrees and humid too. It will be an interesting selection for Wednesday. Does Saka still need his minutes controlled? Is Rice fit enough? Is anyone too tired? Spence or O'Reilly? Right back? Put a man on Messi? James and Anderson in the CM? I'd probably go with: Konsa Guehi Stones O'Reilly James Anderson Rogers Bell Gordon Kane But if Rice is fully fit, he comes in for Stones and James moves to RB. Super subs, Spence, Rice and Saka to come on and win it later.

This is a very different approach to refereeing.
