CB and Barry you both need therapy but as your both anti the club Im not suprised at your stance He was not exonerated , the wording makes that quite clear in the FA statement. I would imagine that FA have given adice or instructions to the PGMOL re referres behaviour. it will be interesting to see if referees stop chatting and exchanging banter in future games.

heard on the grapevine that Hoosveld is to be given an extended contract. Me , I think its a wind up

OTM I totally agree with all you say But particularly the following comment Run to the mods every five minutes when challenged

I was more concerned about 5 lives other report re moyes . Apparently he said that they were unlikely to be spending money in this transfer window and the player they want is not available during this transfer window ? Now who could he be referring to Adam , or Luke ?

Good post rally Clattenberg has got away with what ever was said. Probably on a technicality that the fa do not have a rule about referees who are abusive and patronising to players . Those of you who stand in clattenbergs corner . Good luck to you it will not long before his name hits the headlines again for all the wrong reasons
-
Having looked at the FA site and their statement They have not exonerated clattenberg but have stated that what was in the saints letter does not constitute misconduct uner their rules. "The FA has given its full consideration to this matter and it is our view that the comments, as disclosed in Southampton’s letter of complaint, do not constitute misconduct under The FA’s Rules". This is a careflly constructed statement no doubt drafted from their lawyers What I read from that statement is that there was something said by clattenberg and that what was reported by Riley to the media was factually incorrect. I know it will not happen but it would to see a copy of the saints letter of complaint

from Mike Riley in 2012 Referees such as Mark Clattenburg will soon have their conversations with players and fellow officials recorded. Photograph: Adrian Dennis/AFP/Getty Images Mike Riley said that all match officials' conversations during games will be recorded, following the Mark Clattenburg furore. Riley, general manager of PGMOL, the referees' body, said: "To reduce the risk of an episode of this nature being repeated PGMOL will introduce recording of the referees' communication system on a private basis." Riley added: "We welcome the FA's announcement that Mark Clattenburg has no case to answer regarding the allegations made by Chelsea following their game against Manchester United. We would like to thank them for completing a thorough and efficient investigation in difficult circumstances. "It is PGMOL's considered view that Mark is completely exonerated of the allegation and he will return to active duty shortly without any stain on his character or reputation. The verbal and visual facts do not support any of the allegations made against him. They make it clear that Mark did not use any inappropriate language towards any Chelsea player. "Regrettably, Mark has had to endure four weeks that have brought massive disruption to his professional and personal life through no fault of his own. We are all relieved that this is now behind him and that he can return to doing something that he loves. Alan Leighton, the national secretary of Prospect, the referees' union, would like Chelsea to apologise and compensate Clattenburg for what he has been through. "There was no doubt he was innocent," he told Sky Sports News. "There are lessons to be learned. Mark is very upset that his reputation has been dragged through the mud by this process, there was no need for Chelsea to make the public aware of the allegation. "There is also an issue of flimsiness about the evidence provided. We need Chelsea to accept the verdict, apologise to Mark and compensate him for that."

What this shows is that the PGMOL is a closed shop and they will continue to protect there referees at all costs.. This is from the BBC Despite their complaint being rejected, senior figures at Southampton believe it will be difficult for Clattenburg, 38, to officiate one of their games in the near future. The club believe the situation has highlighted flaws in the existing system, with former referees, rather than an independent panel, appointed to rule on cases such as these. Professional Game Match Officials Limited general manager Mike Riley says officials will wear recording devices, but that is yet to be implemented. The PGMOL have come under criticism in the past about not being impartial . as for Mr Riley Im sure he said last season they would have recording devices for this season. So his failing just show what a **** he actually is OH CB please grow up with your comment its not even remotely funny Love the fact that me saying something totally innocuous and obvious like "the press have seen the letter" gets you two ranting at me to prove it but you believe some gimp on the internet without question. Maybe, just maybe you want to interrogate him a little more next time out. You pair of jumped up little *****. (this is a joke)

Kraken Im not berating the referee , the complete opposite I beleive the likes of Oscar should be made examples of . there one thing tring to get a penalty and a potential sending off but this guy and the manager confirms that he was trying to get KD sent off. That is not in the spirit of the game The Match offical on the day was excellent
-
Im really pleased that the referee in the chelsea game saw their player try to get Kelvin sent off. we would be in melt down if he had been given a red card While the chelsea manager commented on it and the referee did well , I think he bottled it a bit and the chelsea player should have been sent off What I dont hear from either the PGMOL or FA or Premier league commenting on or bringing dispute charges against the chelski player if anything warranted that charge then it was the chelski player. the admission he was trying to get Kelvin sent off is unforgiveable Is it because he's a chelsea player.

The stories are only true if you want to believe in them I dont beside why would he want to go to a club that are in free fall and will not have a manager after their cup semifinal if the ammers get heavily beat in the first leg then I suspect big sam will be gone by the week end

Interesting comments for so called newspaper commentators Sam wallace reports "On top of that, Lallana does not need this kind of episode following him around as his career flourishes in the Premier League. Is he really so sensitive about a tart response from a referee who himself gets sworn at countless times a game? yet CB frys distinguish reporter Haywrod referers to Adam having an over inflated ego. See reporters are saying the complete opposite In both cases and CB's and Barry , they both appear to be siding with the referee

Wes spot on with your post Other than the references to the particular Lallana/Southampton part, I agree with Haywood entirely that something needs to be done about the player/referee interactions. He alludes to the increasing bending of the referees' ears by players on the one hand and the referees' maybe not being aloof enough on the other hand. In the case of Clattenberg, he (Clattenberg) apparently suggests that Lallana's ego is getting the better of him, whilst ignoring the reputation he himself has gained for his own egotistical behaviour.
-
CB I respect your posts and always look forward to reading your posts . I just disagree with Haywood's article . Referring to a number of points his reference to saints FC feeble attempts to ruin a mans career . . If what ever has happened or said was that feeble I am sure the club would not be persuing this matter . Their is something in law about natural justice and the right to a fair hearing (audi alteram partem). I don't see any evidence public or otherwise to see either aspects have been undertaken . All I have seen read or heard is a very biased decision from the PGMol . I'm happy to admit if I have got my opinion wrong but this matter is not as straight forward as the likes of Haywood Wiley et al would have you believe
-
With due respect CB . That was the second attempt at posting as the first version disappeared as I posted it In the original I referred to the grammatical errors Haywood made . Eyewitnesses . Eye witnesses are people who actually saw what happened and can testify in court etc Look at the footage of the incident apart from al not many payers were in earshot of any conversation that went on . Apart from the fourth official who would have had a radio feed . Haywood would not have access to saints written complaint unless the boys club have shown him the saints complaint . If that is the case the PGMol have compromised any fair trial or hearing . But don't let the blur your vision . As for Adam . I have met Adam briefly and only briefly but I do know others who know him and the family well . The description of him having an over inflated ego is wide of the mark in my opinion . Do you know him and the family . If so enlighten me with your views of Adam

This is all a load of tosh . I'm sure Rickie said he wanted to end his playing career with us when he signed an extension to his contract . Sorry gutter press spinning stories to unsettle a player

Pink ball something to do with being winter or is it to do with the sponsors . I notice the test match there was a lot of pink about including pink flashes on the Aussies shirts

What a cock Peter Haywood is he refers to eyewitness statements in his article ."We know what Clattenburg said to Adam Lallana, who, eyewitnesses report, was jabbering at the referee throughout Southampton’s 2-1 defeat by Everton on Dec 29. What we lack – as with all football fixtures – is a transcript of what was said to Clattenburg by both sets of players during his 90 minutes at work." Sorry you only have mike Riley's side of the events that went on Get your facts right mr Haywood instead of spinning a story you which you do not have all the facts . Also Adam llallana does not have an overinflated ego . Have you ever met him . He us a quiet unassuming guy who let's his footballing do the talking . Do your research before printing tripe
