Definately a chutney ferret!

A bit before my time but have great memories of watching scrambling in the early 80's with my Dad. The mud, the smell of the 2 strokes, and all the noise and excitement. I'd always fall asleep in the car on the way home dreaming of racing a bike like that myself. Happy care-free days!

To be honest I would never mix and match tyres. Best to have the same all round as they're designed to work with each other. When I had my V6 MG ZS that came with Michelins on when it was new and I got about 10,000 out of them. I then switched to P zeros and got about the same (slightly less I think). The Yokos only managed about 7000! Superb dry weather grip though.

Now I've seen more pictures this is definately the nicest car out there this season. My favourite for quite some time.

Have to agree with Ponty on the Renault. I think it's definately one of the nicer cars this year. My ugly prize is shared between the McLaren and Ferrari at the moment. Despite the fact they appear to be totally useless the Virgin cars are the nicest I've seen so far. Really like the Lotus as well.

would love to see 30 of those flying round a circuit together. Surely the handling would be a pig with that front track though?

My head says 2-1 to Pompey, my heart says 3-1 to us!

I was talking more about the livery combined with the cleaner lines of this generation of cars.
-
I like it! Looks almost retro. Reminds me of the cars of 10 or 15 years ago (which is no bad thing!)
-
My general experince with Yokohamas is that they're very sticky but as a result won't last as long as the P Zeros.

The RB6 revealed today

It's even the right colours!

Any rattling from underneath? I had similar symptoms from a car once and it was because the catalytic converter had sheared in half and was blocking exhaust gasses from getting out to the tail pipe.
-
No but you'll need a member to get a ticket for you tonight. They're £2.

I was working on the assumption that Dog had inadvertantly purchased it believing it to be injector cleaner.

What he said. Having run many variations on the Golf GTi theme, eg: mk1,2 & 3 GTi's and early Sciroccos, the car needs to be over 10 years old or have a high mileage to benefit. A bottle of STP in a 200,000 mile GTi can work miracles but will do little or nothing to any modern motor in the way of a performance gain.

Not as bad as people who don't use capital letters for the names of countries though. They really get my back up.

I'm going to the Northam S C. Opens at 9.30am, cheap'ish booze and food and 5 mins walk from the ground. Got my tickets on Saturday. Happy days!

I played in the last two games gainst PompeyOnline at Moneyfields and Eastleigh and they were great fun. The one at Eastleigh was particularly funny with Mick Channon Jnr turning up 5 mins before KO with the hangover from hell and still running rings round the entire Pompey team! We thrashed them both times by the way. I am in semi-retirement now but would play if you were desperate! Would definately come along to support whatever. Will try and dig some of the photos out later.

Double d'oh!

Ponty - Have you ever sat in one of the latest breed of F1 cars? I'm intrigued to know what the driving position is like. All the cars have these really high front sections to the monocoque now and surely the pedals must be higher than your arse? Must be very odd!
-
Wow. That McLaren hit a few branches on it's fall from the ugly tree! What is that fin thing all about? And that nose cone! Dear oh dear... Hope it goes better than it looks!
-
Swap the red bits for white bits, lose the bloody awful fin thing on the air intake and I reckon it would be a nice car.
