  1. Ouch! Makes Pompey's wage bill look quite reasonable.
  2. Wrong. He offered his services but was politely declined as at the time Lowe was planning his own come back. A missed opportunity.
  3. I would rather see someone independant like Salz takeover the plc role. Candidates for executive role could include: Cowen, Wiseman or Richards.
  4. I thought I read somewhere else that under Crouch's Stewardship the wage bill did not increase as you're suggesting. I think you're getting mixed up with the previous board which kicked-out Crouch.
  5. There are plenty of workable alternatives to Lowe. It's equally sad that some fans can't open their minds to the possibility that there can be life without Lowe. But I do agree it can't be any Tom, D@ck or Harry. Any alternative approach has to have the broad support of all three major shareholding camps.
  6. Lowe's involvement is counterproductive. He should step down and hand the plc chairmanship over to someone like Salz. Andrew Cowen could takover Lowe's executive role and Crouch could be offered a role on the football club board. The plc board could include: Salz, Jones, Cowen, & Wilde.
  7. Thanks.
  8. Cheers
  9. According to Radio Hampshire Rupert Lowe is pictured in the dug-out next to JP on the back of the Echo. Can anyone confirm this?
  10. I remember when the shareholders were voting for Lowe's new stadium funding proposals at the Dell. There were a few very worried ones that felt his proposals were too risky and if the club ever got relegated our very existance would be put at threat because of the enormous stadium debt. The stadium debt payments account for about 30%-40% of our turnover???? Add the overdraft, falling matchday income and we're in big trouble.
  11. Rupert in his Berlin Bunker. Achtung!
  12. PM or email him. I have.
  13. Me too, I never thought it would work but kept my silence and gave it a chance. Anyone with half a football brain knew it was doomed from the start but Lowe knows best.
  14. Ron, Things must be bad if you've taken such a step. I really hope common sense prevails and Lowe steps down and sells-up.
  15. It's heartbreaking. Lowe is marginalising and alienating the very sole of the club. Its fans!
  16. The situation is desperate. I hope Fulthorpe comes to our rescue but it's looking increasingly unlikely.
  17. Surely a good time for a poll mods? Can the club ever move forward with Rupert Lowe at the helm? or something similar???
  18. He must be under immense pressure and wondering if returning was the right choice. I believe the major shareholders (including Askham and co) will drop him like a stone if his presence continues to be counterproductive. They did it with Branfoot.
  19. From 606 (http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A42670884): I did hear a rumour that Barclays were not as worried about Saints finances under Crouch as they are under Lowe/Wilde. The reason isn't the credit crunch, it was because Leon Crouch said he would personally underwrite Saints overdraft from his own funds. Something that Lowe and Wilde have refused to do.

    I am so happy

But our troubles are boardroom related. Cure our boardroom ills and we will move forward.
  21. & Harry is still on bail. Ha Ha.
  22. Success but at what price? According to Sky this morning Portsmouth's finances are dire and the club could go out of business if the reported £60-80M debt is not dealt with soon. The credit crunch is potentially going to kill your club. The Jan transfer window will see alot of out goings. Your party is over and the hangover is just about to get really nasty. Both south coast clubs could be facing administration within the next 6-18mths. See you in Div 1 sometime within the next few years.
  23. Start making life difficult for the lowelife. Rupert Lowe WH Ireland 0161 819 8750 http://www.hemscott.com/news/static/rna/item.do?newsId=64220498598363 http://www.wh-ireland.co.uk/contact-us.asp

    Lowe out

Sorry mate but most plc chairmen are not major holding shareholders. Most Plc chairmen are appointed by the shareholders to run the business on their behave. They are normally appointed because of their business experience, NOT THEIR SHARE HOLDING. Same rule applies to executive roles. For example, how many shares has Dave Jones got?
