"Sorry I am partly to blame for this financial mess" Rupert Lowe -
The best we've got at the moment:rolleyes: There are plenty of alertnatives. This guy for instance: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/2942831/Business-profile-An-Outsider-with-fresh-eyes.html The very English 56-year-old has worked on some of Britain's most high-profile deals and his contacts book is said by people who know him to be one of the best in the City. He's also vice-executive chairman of Rothschild and a Saints fan. He makes Lowe look rather amateurish and second rate. Therefore there was an alternative but Lowe and Wilde blew it!
-
Salz was keen to be plc chairman back in Jan 08 but Lowe refused to fully support the move as he was planning his own come back. This is 100% true. What a missed opportunity!

From BBC 606 board: Swansea fan in peace. I've been amazed at the decline of Southampton. It wasn't long ago that you were in the FA Cup Final, playing in Europe, and under Stracthon (I know that's the wrong spelling but can't remember how to spell it) you were sitting mid-table in the PL. Now, not only have you flirted with relegation last season, it seems your aim every season is staying up, and getting a draw away from home is a good result for you. Smaller clubs like Burnley, Cardiff, Preston, and ourselves (swansea) aim to soon be in the PL. If you were relegated, I wouldn't be surprised to see you struggle in League 1. Your board seem utterly unambitious particularly the history and size of Southampton FC

Cheers m8 I won't be renewing next season!

If You Had To Bet On It,Will Saints End Up In Administration?
Delmary replied to Gemmel's topic in The Saints
Yes. Our stadium running costs are killing us. Another club experiencing similar problems:- http://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/no-walkers-takeover-mandaric-803936.html Mandaric added: "We're going to have huge losses because we have a big stadium, which is a tremendous asset when you're in the Premier League but a liability when you're in a lower division." -
Let's hope Lowe steps down from his executive role before the AGM.
-
No but his boss is;)
-
A couple of defenders and Saganowski would do nicely.
-
This has been said by many on this board from day one of the season.
-
There's less guarantees with a side made-up of mainly youngsters. It about getting the blend right. Last season was all wrong and it's been the same this season.
-
What a waste!
-
Great result but we still need another 3-4 experienced players to help secure our safety in this league. Where's Chris Lucketti nowadays?
-
who thinks it's gonna be another last day relegation fight?

4th from bottom -
My monies on Wilde having a discrete word with Lowe;)
-
I suspect that JP was forced by certain parties at St.Marys to play the youngsters. That strategy was a complete failure.
-
Good result and great to see Chris Perry, Bradley Wright-Phillips, Rudi Skacel and Stern John back in the team. The youngsters have done well on their own but they need experience players along side them. Hopefully our Director of Football will now let JP run the first team without any interference.

Good performance so far!

I agree Crouch could not sort out this mess which Lowe and Wilde have made worse. Only a takeover can now save SFC from financial ruin. If Lowe, Wilde, Askham, Withers, Richards & co really care about this club then they should sell their shares at a significant loss. It's their last chance to show the city and fans that they really do care!
-
The hall of shame (ignoring Crouch who's a true Saints fan): Shareholders who hold more than 3% Holding > Michael Wilde 4,622,470 16.46% > Leon Adrian Crouch 2,794,230 9.95% > Rupert Lowe 1,577,969 5.62% > R M Withers 1,125,000 4.00% > Guy Askham 1,120,000 3.99% > Cheviot Asset Management 939,430 3.34% > Michael Richards 873,000 3.11% > Charles Stanley & Co Ltd 863,185 3.07% Lowe only owns 5.62% shareholding. He's an opportunist who is backed by cowards who hide in the background, remain silent and contribute nothing to SFC. Anyone notice Askham in the directors box on Saturday? It's all take take take.

This one's equally as bad, possibly worse!

A few of the lads need to have a good long look in the mirror
