Ed will win on 2nd and 3rd round. Labour needs Ed.

"Saints have kept possession really well in the last few minutes of this game" Well that has jinxed it. Now we are going to concede..

No rubbish here Matron. Just giving some much-needed education to the yoof. And anyway, who made you the 'post burning' Pastor of these boards? Don't like it? Go do some knitting.
-
dear oh dear. Listen sonny jim. You can't go picking and choosing words from different posts and rearrange them into a sentence, surround that with quotes and ascribe it to me. Is that what you think passes as rigorous intellectual criticism? I would laugh, but it is too sad. I reckon, that within a deep breath, I could 'prove' that Hitler loved Jews by taking your methods to Mein Kampf. Some where in that book are the words 'I' , 'Love', 'Jews'. All we need is a highlighter pen and we are done! Adolf loves Jews!

Ahhhh. So the worm is turning, methinks! Btw, shame on you for misquoting me. I never said he was "an egotistical piece of deadwood that we no longer require". What I said was (and you were so kind to collate my posts above): "If he ain't up to it, then he is dead wood and he should be let go." Notice the difference?

Are you a student? God help us if so! The calibre of your debate is about as poor as Lambert's record this season. I have laid out my stall. Now it is your turn to give me a counter argument. Is that too hard a task to follow? Let me make it easy for you: answer this question: "Why should Lambert be included in the starting eleven" Now, put your mind to it. Don't scrape over past posts, and try not flip into 'embolden mode'. Good luck.

Deeper? I am objective in my criticism. I have watched him, and he ain't doing much at the moment! I know that for many football is about finding an idol, to whom one can cling in all storms so as to give one meaning in a turbulent world, but actually it is about winning games. And to do that, the best TEAM must be fielded. Right now, Lambert is not doing enough to guarantee him a place.

Well done. You know how to use the 'bold' button. Bravo. Care to actually make an argument, in English, against my position?

Time to accept that it is unlikely we will go up
1976_Child replied to Thedelldays's topic in The Saints
I accepted it after two games. You look at our lads, they are individually more than competent. But a team? Nope. There is too much padding in the way. I hate to say it, but our boys are already spoiled. To build a team needs the members of that team to cease being 'employees' on a wage. They need to WANT to win, they should be at the training ground an hour before NA gets there. They should already have warmed up, worked out had a team talk and be ANGRY about their crap performance so far. Instead, I honestly believe that they, with few exceptions, crawl out of bed in the morning and wander down to the training ground counting the clock every step of the way. That is never going to be a winning team. Never. -
Now, now! Careful on the abuse old chum, else there might be an infraction coming your way. He clearly hasn't recovered from his injury pre-season, so isn't looking himself, but to say he is off form...? Yes, I am saying exactly that. He is off form. He is moping around the park and has no spark to him. Injury or not, he is not fullfilling his role. Lionize him all you must, but facts are facts: he ain't performing. A team should not be built around one man - one ego. So he may not be getting the 'delivery' from his colleagues, that does not mean he slopes off into a sulk and does nothing for the TEAM. Either he is a team player, or he is not. No ego should be bigger than the team. No excuses.

Prey tell, how do you reach this conclusion?

So because noone (no one) agrees with me, I therefore have no voice? Is that how it works in non-stasi land?! Frankly I feel sorry for Rickie - no Lallana, no Papa, no Antonio - hence no chance!! The expectation on the bloke is ridiculous... Oh, so it is all their fault! It is because he has no chance! Give up, the lad has been dragging his feet for the last three games. If he is that interested he needs to be proactive in making it happen. At the moment he looks like a stroppy moaner: someone who just expects the ball to be passed to him at the right moment for him to take the glory.

so how good has our pin-up boy been this season? Just because he wears 'the shirt of Mat Le Tiss' does not make him invincible to criticism. He has been shockingly off form this season. Argue against that, in a disinterested way, and I will give you a lolly pop.
