Calm down ladies, you're all supposed to be on the same side
-
Really? two top ten finishes, an F.A. cup, UEFA cup football. Ok, we've 'lived the dream', but unlike Leeds at least we actually won something. Might well be. People are ****ed off with it all at the moment. It's expensive, we could be about top implode, lot of people on holiday. Yeah, I'd be more surprised if it were a full house... Well you would say that wouldn't you?
-
Hmmm. 50. Not 5000......
-
He takes the third highest wage for a chief exec in the Prem, but he's fighting fires at every turn to keep us alive, so I don't begrudge him the wage at all......
-
Sorry mate but that's almost total garbage from start to finish particuarly the last paragraph.....
-
Yep. League cup 2nd round, 2nd leg. Not our finest hour admittedly
-
Maybe, but you can't really say on the one hand: 'We're the south coasts oldest club', and yet on the other sweep away the (possibly) lower attendance figures from the same period. You can't have it both ways....
-
No, not necessarily. Say for example you were packing them out in the early years at what, 15k a game for the first 10 years? But then it dipped to say 10k for the next 10 years, your average over the 20 years would be 12.5k wouldn't it?
-
Sorry, not with you, 1908? What do you mean
-
Yep, that's how an average is calculated.
-
You can always tell when you guys start getting desperate when the old chestnut about 'the last 50 years' is wheeled out, conveniently airbrushing out the previous 50 because it juuussst doesn't quite fit in with your argument does it? Another one is the patheticlly weak 'within living memory' quip. Either way, it's selective and hence not the full picture. Sadly for you the full picture as per the link posted above tells a slightly different story.... The nice little line of abuse at the end merely proves my assertion that a nerve has been touched, hmmmm?
-
Doesn't matter that you're 13 years older- it's an AVERAGE...
-
No, I can't, and here's the proof.... http://www.nufc.com/2009-10html/attendance-all-time.html
-
I have no idea. But I wouldn't be surprised if that figure was correct.
-
Ah the old 'we all knew salvation was just around the corner so we didn't need to go' argument. Sorry, won't wash. You didn't know that at all, you simply couldn't be bothered, so you stayed away in your thousands during your clubs darkest hour of need...

Pre SMS no, I don't. Post SMS yes. SMS has made a huge difference. It's clear that 10,000 people who wouldn't bother to go to 'the skip', because it was a complete shytehole, are more than happy to attend at a modern stadium with modern facilities. I suspect there are 10,000 people who live in and around Pompey who think exactly the same about Fratton Park....

No- this was billed as a 'life or death' game and the fans chance to show how much they love SFC. When the chips were down a pathetic 1500 were bothered enough to buy a ticket. Says it all.......
-
In exactly tha same way you give away 5000 freebies to schools and all and sundry who might wander past SMS on matchday....
-
Correct, because the matches that go even lower than the example above e.g. the life or death 'save the saints' game are called off when ticket sales don't go above 1500...
-
Riiiggghhht, ok......
-
Bottom line is that you need a very good start. Realistically, if you're not much more than 10-12 points off the playoff places in January, I'd say you have a chance....
-
Yep, yep interesting. I suppose you're a bit like most of the new cruise ships. New, gaudy, flash, cheap to get on, but with little pedigree and history. We're a bit like the Queen Mary. Tired, a bit faded around the edges, and in need of some well earned TLC, but still just about first class, and with an interesting history. Actually, **** it you probably are better off on that analogy As long as we don't turn into the Queen Elizabeth (saddest day of my parents life) I'll be happy....
-
Has he got any cash? Nice to see you live in a decent part of Hampshire by the way Oh and Stacey looks verrry nice
-
Ah, an interesting angle. One we might have to try to exploit
-
True, but at least the boat survived. Slimmed down, maybe, but a good 'restoration project' for somebody
