Good quote. One that we've made at this end of the M27 many times. Think the full line is something like: Blackadder: How are you feeling, Darling? Darling: Erm, not all that good, Blackadder actually- rather hoped I'd get through the whole show; go back to work in the accounts department at Pratt & Sons; keep wicket for the Croydon gentlemen; marry Doris...Made a note in my diary on my way over here. Simply says, "Bugger."

The price was 2 grand not 5. It was all done by word of mouth and was a quick way to raise cash for an outstanding VAT or IR payment. I missed out on it by a single day. Bugger.....

As an outsider, to us it looks like he's desperate to stave off administration because his shares will become worthless, even though in many ways administration would be the best thing for you. Ok, so you take a 10 point hit and go down. So what? If you wipe out the debt at the same time you've got a chance to rebuild. As it stands it's absolutely killing you.......

Yes, on reflection so was I. To be watching Pompey playing in Europe against the likes of AC Milan and not losing is indicative of how far we've come. Long may it continue.........
-
Really? Have a look at that Milan team, and tell me again it wouldn't be that much of an achievement to beat them? That's one hell of a team by anyone's standards and we came mighty close to stuffing them...

I think you might be taking this football lark a bit too seriously mate. Once again the bottom line is that you only hate him because: a) He got us up into the Premiership b) He took you down c) He came back to us d) He kept us up and e) We went on to win the cup under him. Actually, that IS quite a few reasons to hate him, but to wish painful death upon him is seriously warped.......

What a difference a week makes.... Seriously though, watched your game last night and thought you played some good stuff at times. It all just seems to fall apart when you get in the box. I think you just need to find some very cheap but vastly experienced players in January. One defender, one midfielder and a striker dropped into the spine would make a huge difference......
-
Even if all the above turns out to be true, we've still had the best five years most of us have ever seen. **** it, if it all fell apart tomorrow It's still been brilliant......
-
Wow, how naive can you get? I would have thought that was obvious. So what? Football works like that....
-
Because he took us into the premier league, won us an FA cup, and into Europe for the first time. You're in a minority mate. Most of us with a level head and some maturity are sad to see him go but wish him all the best. He's not a Pompey fan, most people in football aren't at the club they support, so any wailing about being a 'Judas' etc etc, is just small minded. Also, the glee from s*ints fans on here merely betrays the fact that you all know what a good manager he's been for us. Thanks Harry, it's been brilliant.....

Yeah, like they're going to confirm that they DIDN'T get a player....
-
Yep, we're in real trouble aren't we? We're in such a lot of trouble that we turned down £15million from Tottenham for Diarra before the window closed. And before anyone says that was a Redknapp lie, no-one from Spurs ever refuted that statement.......
-
Ah yes of course, in the absence of being able to think of an intelligent reply, just resort to some good old abuse, eh? Highly intelligent.........

Hah! That's a laugh. A single year more than our 27-39 & 45-59 tenure. Well whoopee doo! I'll tell you something else about money- we've gained such a reputation as a club with proper fans and a proper history (not just a club with one fluked offside-winning-cup- and even that was 'scored' by a Pompey boy) that even in the current crisis we'll have plenty of buyers if Sascha really does need to sell. And another thing, how can you even mention 'ridiculous stadiums' when you played at The Skip for over a hundred years? And you rarely filled that! Finally, who the hell is "Rich"? You couldn't even get that right.....

Shows how much you know about "someone who needs an open cheque book", when you then go on to list four England players all brought through the ranks by Redknapp for free at West Ham. Not much opening of the chequebook required there was there? This whole Redknapp debate on here is driven purely by the fact that he took you down. He admits it was a mistake going to you. You couldn't resist the idea of getting one over on us and it backfired for all of you. Still, the main thing is it doesn't bother you anymore, does it?
-
No of course he's not, but he gets away with it in our eyes because he's well liked. A vast improvement on the previous incumbent of that seat i.e. Marsh. The only thing about Claridge that really really winds me up is that he seems to be physically incapable of saying the word 'Pompey'. Maybe it's just that he doesn't want to come across as being a fan, but it does wind me up. In fact it winds me up when ANYONE in the media calls us 'Portsmouth'. Weird isn't it? There must be some sort of therapy for that.....

A good result? Jeeez....... Time to smell the coffee methinks......
