Yep. Last minute too.
The long run without winning was down to Chris Nichol who had won the manager of the month award and declared that he’d open it after the next win...
Spurs making heavy work of BHA. Saints connections all around. Lallana conceded a penalty. Hoj looked to have been fouled for the equalizer and now Bale has the go ahead. Hopefully Toby gets a late O.G.
We were 2 nil up at Highbury in that game, would have been top with 12/12. Unfortunately that last gasp equalizer added on for, as you said, Paul Davis, killed us. Next game we were swept aside 3-1 at home to Liverpool.
They beat some hapless losers 9-0 and after that, those losers never ever won again falling 10 leagues in the process and are now serving chips in a motorway rest stop somewhere outside of Basingstoke...
Yep. Saw same as you.
1) Lines showed Adams on and then they moved it level with his wrist. Did he even touch it? Someone at HT said he was interfering!?!
2) Embellishment by JG
3) Romeu fouled.
In a way, this helps us. Players don’t get all cocky and Ralph can say good win but I’m not happy with the defending and we keep our feet on the ground and knuckle down in training for Friday night.
Put it this way, had we been losing 4-0 and got a soft penalty and a last kick fluke we’d have all been saying we were shit and a couple of lucky late goals don’t change that.
What worried me about Ings was the way his knee locked. Mind you, I’ve done the same and while sore at the time and for a few days after it heals up quickly.
Feels weird, but we won and with great goals too.
Just feels slightly meh with the late goals. Had we surged back to win 4-3 we’d be ecstatic.
Hopefully we get word about Ings, Bertie and Beds soon and it’s all positive.
