  1. No doubt AP and his coaches are rushing to look at his FM ratings to see if he's worth signing then.
  2. [quote=Matthew Le God;565410 Whenever fans on other teams forums bring up FM to discuss their club signing a Saints player it is based on my opinion of each Saints player. So the figures aren't just plucked out of the air. Well write up Saga,Thomas,Pulis and Molyneaux a bit sharpish then.Give them all maximum marks all round.
  3. See my opinion of Norwich in general and NCFC in particular elsewhere. They have so many ST holders that they must give them away with the cow fodder or something.
  4. what's all that mumbo jumbo about then? Oh right FM, it's justy a f*cking video game you know. Like most others it has no base in real life.
  5. Good for him then. It might be added that Gillett ,who couldn't get a game here, has probably been replacing Stock during his absence at Doncaster.
  6. Nope once a Window Cleaner always a Window Cleaner although I don't really clean glass windows, but then I think I 've explained that before haven't I ? Perhaps just in PMs though. Most opinionated, perhaps not, I am a sort of Mary Whitehouse of the anti-bulls*t party.I don't like it and I think there's far far too much of it being spread over the more gullible souls of this very forum.
  7. Didn't Neil Innes do something with the Pythons at the outset?
  8. shhh don't tell them that though, dogma rules OK.
  9. But that's just uncorroborated forum crap, means no more than newspaper rumours. People in accounts departments don't usually gab to their friends about things. It usually ends up in them being sacked. If I gabbed to you all about things that my job leads me to know I'd last about 30 seconds afterwards.
  10. Ah right, Moses didn't have it on the tablets of fire when he came down from Mt Sinai then. Newspaper rumour = Agent bullsh*t in 70% of cases, it's free and it gets the ball rolling. Journos are always looking for crap to print so why not give them a few ideas.
  11. Do you know this for a 100% concrete FACT ? or did someone just lead you up the garden path to make himself look big.
  12. remind me why was it thought that he might join us in the first place
  13. He's past 31 now, don't forget Cantona quit football at 30 (well football on grass anyway).Perhaps Saga's motivation isn't there any more. Football may be just a job to him, probably been playing and training 5/6 days a week since he was about 14, may have just had enough of it.You can't blame the player really, just the idiots who insisted on him being signed at all cost against the wishes of "the execs".
  14. Now imagine Ward had originally turned down our terms and we'd gone looking elsewhere. Then we offer him slightly better and he accepts. In the meantime we've found a player who is thought to be as good, so we tell Ward to go shove it as a lesson that no-one tries it on for more than he's worth with SFC. Just a hypothesis mind you.
  15. When was that? wasn't it Rudi who didn't want to lose money by going to Ipswich? Did another of our "stars:rolleyes:" turn them down over money as well?
  16. Those would be the contracts that Hone got one of the SFC board members to sign because as he explained the money wasn't there to finance them. He knew it, just the football 'fans' on the SFC board just wouldn't accept that it was true.
  17. Could be the aptly named Surrey Docks I guess. There is also the Moby ****, not a very salubrious place in my student days but probably more up market now. Reminds me of a very infantile game we used to have when I was at Imperial, took it in turns to find the most dingy downtrodden pub that we could and take everyone there of a friday night for some slumming. Most of them were more friendly than yer upper class watering holes.
  18. Amateur and unprofessional aren't the same thing then?
  19. I don't know anything about odds but I would have thought that obtaining 50 more points from 22 games (as we've only got 38 from 24 so far) and beating 2 other top League 1 sides to boot would be worth far more than a 7/1 chance. It's just the bookies being stingy. They'd far rather you bet on a 10/1 managerial shot who isn't even considered for the job in question. Like MLT being Chairman of Saints for example.
  20. Yep, I really don't know how many times the true history of Jackson's Farm have been explained on this site (and it's predecessors) Even Mary Corbett confirmed it. Mr John Corbett loaned SFC £15000 to buy JF with the prevision that it would be paid back over time, which it has been.
  21. Perhaps the "Ward deal" was just used to drive down the terms of the Seaborne deal.Anyway it really doesn't matter. The OS warned us only last week "if it's not on here (the OS) it ain't true"'
  22. Nope I've been there, had an ex-fiancée from the dump even. I would never knowingly go there again. Anyway I didn't blame them for choosing him, Delia's fault that but they thought he was a good manager all the same.
  23. Sir Arthur Harris if you want to look him up and find out something about the recent history of your nation.
  24. where will get the money from for that then Ron? Liebherr isn't going to chuck money at us you know. That's why we've signed Seaborne and Otsemobor instead of argentinian starlets costing 30 million a piece. We need to get up, consolidate, get some TV money into the coffers and then move on up.
  25. Unless of course we are going to use him in front of Lloyd James. Let James do the donkey work at the back and use Jon's speed in front of him. Unless we go to a back 3 of Fonté,Seaborne with Perry sweeping.
