  1. I'd have to look again as well, I thought he was offside but then I thought the ball came from one of ours,if it was one of theirs that's different.
  2. Not really, didn't like what I saw though, more worried about the 5 remaining games than only drawing today.Thought our midfield was totally useless,no invention,no bite,no vision...then again everybody knows I think Hammond is a waste of space and Cork is a bit of a ballerina sometimes..
  3. No,credit to Ashdown he has the shot pretty well covered (thought he played well today). To me it's either a dink or a drag back and shot but that might put him on his wrong foot. Can't remember where the nearest defender was.
  4. Doesn't say anything like that, says it's a nasty injury with stud wounds and swelling and it will be reassessed tomorrow when it's settled a bit but that he's a definite non-starter for Monday. At no time does Nigel refer to it being season ending, doesn't refer to anything beyond Monday's game.
  5. As I said all it need was a little dink over Ashdown.Messi gets a lot of his goals like that not that I'm making any comparison though. Ashdown did his job, drove him wide, probably seen plenty of footage because it's not the first time that Adam has done this.
  6. No the point was important because it put us back to the top of the League so it's not like losing really.
  7. The ball was gone doesn't really matter if the keeper touched him or not (don't think he did though) Close control let him down for once, should have just chipped the diving keeper. Couldn't believe that miss...cost us the game no doubt. He just has to correct his touch when one on one with keepers if he wants his career to move forward to the next level but then I'm sure he knows that.
  8. Their Number 16 ? had a good game certainly.
  9. Don't know why you"'re all so amazed by this, told you from Day 1 that from what I'd seen of him in Belgium and then on Dutch TV he just isn't very good. The manager only uses him when he's got no other option so what Puncheon and Chaplow have wrong with them can only be supposed. Can't understand why we will not use Falqué as an impact player at least he has some modicum of skill.
  10. Anyway West Ham certainly and Reading probably will think that Father Christmas has turned up early this year after today's result and us losing the one player that makes us tick and seeing the one who scores most of our goals about 30% fit.
  11. Wonder if Falque will get a chance on monday, at least be on the bench.
  12. Ball had gone and he knew it so he did a dying swan. Should have chipped the keeper, that's what any real goaledor would have done. Couldn't believe that miss myself, think I might have been able to chip the keeper in my heyday.
  13. A bit idiotic but I didn't like what I saw today for most of the game, can't believe that was his game plan though.
  14. Trousers put a pic up of him arriving at the ground with Harding today. I'd rather have seen him at least on the bench instead of Barnard, think he has a lot to offer and controls the ball well.
  15. Can't see who'd be sending those, must be Pompey fans.
  16. Yes but at Walsall at the start of March. He had some sort of blood clotting complication that time.
  17. We need Chaplow or Puncheon to step up then because to me Hammond is a complete waste of space and Cork is lightweight in 50/50 situations.
  18. Still don't get it do you. All sides with nothing left to play for have a vested interest in Birmingham,Blackpool and West Ham getting repromoted this time round. If 2 of them went back up your mid table sides would be rolling in extra cash.
  19. No we shouldn't have let Norris have a free punt, thing is we had a couple just like that but we either skyed them or put them wide. Someone should have followed the trajectory and closed the **** down.
  20. Will be interesting to see what Nigel has to say about today's game, can't see him being over chuffed by what he saw. Can't believe he told them to play like that.
  21. against Birmingham? Good to see them on a bit of form then, we may need them to beat West Ham next week.
  22. I thought Pompey looked a whole lot more composed than Saints today,at least their game seemed to have a bit of a structure, we went, forward, back, across and hoof.
  23. Because the pivotal element in ball holding up and simple passing went off after 5 minutes and might not even be seen again this season.Cork and Hammond can't hold the ball up like he does because they don't have the savvy to see the simple exit ball even before they receive the incoming.
  24. TBH on what I saw today I can see us having to pass through the play-offs.Too many players not contributing.Lambert isn't fit, Lallana can't shoot and we seem to be just aimlessly hoofing all of the time. No bite from the midfield and nothing much constructive either. We need to get Sooty to throw some oofle dust on Morgan and Chung to get them back on the pitch by Monday.
  25. Absolutely, looked very limited today.
