Lallana is a good player but he really really needs to work on his shooting,wasted at least 2 chances on Saturday.He gets into great positions but the final gesture is often woeful.It's about the only weak point in his game.If he could improve the shooting so that say 1 out 2 efforts at least forces a save instead of nigh on every one going high,wide and certainly not handsome he'd get the plaudits he deserves and maybe even an England call up.

How long does that take then? Difficult to understand the 'not wanting him sitting around on a coach" comment.

If only we still had Ox or a reasonable replacement for him,we could tell if the wings were utilisable or not. 12 million £ and we get De Ridder instead, yeah total logic.

Pitch fixing or not it must be pretty clear to all opposition managers and tacticians by now that nippy wingers will probably undo us. Bristol City with Adomah,Doncaster last week with Diouf playing wide, that lad at Millwall and many more .Our full backs can't defend and Jos is way way too slow to cover on his side at least.It's not about the pitch it's about our full backs.

We shall no doubt find out shortly because we're going to need a big dob of players to bring us up to minimal premier league standard.When you look at some of the players that even mid-level sides have and compare them to some of ours it's pretty easy to see. Take Gary Monk for Swansea yesterday, nowhere near the level required and that's why he's just a back up at Swansea. Bad defending from him gifted Adebayor 2 goals including a simple free header to score Spur's first goal from a corner in 14 months. Said the other day that we'll need at least 6 players and there Nigel (or whoever does the talent spotting) will have to go outside of his comfort zone and start looking further afield for reasonably priced ability. To me we'll need 2 new full backs,at least one starting CB,an efficient RM player and at least 1 top of the range striker and of course a new keeper,hopefully from the Dutch school.

Don't know but we seem to be hoofing a bit more every game now, Fox is the principal culprit.Whether that's a tactical thing decided by Nigel and his coaches or not I couldn't begin to guess.Perhaps we have more than one player playing on through some sort of knock or niggle and hoofing helps on that front.

What can you expect. Your side gets a penalty and you've to step up and take it in place of one of the game's penaltymeisters. You f*ck it up and everyman and his dog knows that the other guy would have sunk it .Any fragile confidence that Billy might have gained from his 2 goals the week before would evaporate and take any that you might have had before with it.Missing that penalty could be a turning point in a promotion campaign (but it won't be because we have enough margin) an I think it completely destroyed our morale.

According to Nigel's interview on Lambert the players went by coach,thought we'd done away with 250 + mile coach trips of late. Even though they went on Friday that's still 5 or 6 hours cramped up in a restricted space.As it would seem to me that they've not been on a long bus ride for a fair old while (Leeds+Hull thet went by plane I think) it probably affected them.Strange decision to suddenly start bussing it again.

Elementary mistake Bearsy old man,for the first say month of any relationship always go to their place and do not,I repeat do not tell them where you live.If they ask tell them you're living with your sister/cousin/brother as a temporary measure but don't really get on with them etc etc.If you're undecided and they're a bit doggy you can even go to the lengths of getting an extra throw down mobile,you know one of those rechargeable things that foreign visitors get at the airport. I think that's supposed to be Lallana's job actually,it's certainly not the brief of a DM.Morgan and Cork are there to recover and relay,after that it's up to the wide men (man in our case) and the playmaker who I just assume is Lallana in our case.

because Nigel appointed Sharp as penalty taker. It's never an off the cuff thing in case you get one,Sharp was responsible for penalties yesterday and he took the one that we got.

Jos has been ill this week, some other players too apparently.Maybe there were a few just running on empty yesterday,it happens even with pros with big medical structures behind them.We needed to score the penalty,that would have made everything more rosy.

and a draw. West Ham need to make up 7 points because they ain't going to boost their GD by +14 compared to ours.

Young lad died of a heart attack playing football in our region yesterday, bet his family don't get overwhelmed with sympathy messages from all the Tv stations and National Newpapers.Brits always go totally over the top about this sort of thing.

We can afford to lose 2 more if we keep the GD above theirs.As it stands they need to win 2 more than us and get one other better result,other than that they need a goal glut and let's face it it's West Ham and they don't seem to do goal gluts.
