  1. Whilst not a fan of or expert on snooker I seem to remember hearing that O'Sullivan is totally ambidextrous and can play with either hand if the ball position requires it.Used to be touted as one of his strengths because it made difficult positions easier. Pity the bloke has the attention span of a 10 year old girl nowadays.
  2. Up 70% without player trading now that would be a fair old boost. Can't see us having managed to get to 27 million with the AOC sale myself. That would be going on bottom end of the PL turnover.
  3. Rubbish, I ate 29 in about 12 minutes in a Rag Week stunt,no problem whatsoever. However just after that I must have had an iffy pint of Newcastle Brown which led me to chucking up on the tube to Cricklewood.:lol:Fairly redecorated that tube I did.
  4. going bust is something different, but the PPs of repromoted clubs go to the Football League for distribution, just how I couldn't say. So if West Ham get repromoted there would eventually be 32 million kicking around....so losing 2-0 to them when you've nothing left to play for isn't so bad after all.
  5. Could well be although I'm not at all sure that it hasn't been changed of late to ensure a bigger cut for the lower leagues. Not the deal in general, just this part of it.
  6. Thinking on our turnover of 2010/11 (and probably again this year). All football league clubs would have got a massive cash boost from the repromotion of Newcastle and West Brom after just one season each in the CCC/NPC,their reliquat of Parachute Payments would have gone to the Football League Solidarity fund and have been distributed principally amongst football league clubs.Don't know the breakdown division by division on that though.Could be that we got about a half million or so hand out.
  7. But then we would have still have had PPs,in the 2008/9 season which was our last season in the CCC the figures seem to be much lower http://www.onebooker.com/en/2010/09/are-premier-league-parachute-payments-distorting-the-competitive-balance-within-the-championship/ Although the TO given is for 2007/8 ie after the expiry of PP, doubt if it got much better in 2008/9 and of course no accounts were ever published for that year.
  8. the 33 million is easy, Acquistion 14 million, losses 2009/10 7.7 million,losses 2010/11 11.5 million = 33.2 million.
  9. Wouldn't that be a 33 million + Losses season 2011/12 punt? Say 40 million £.
  10. doubt that, they may have dropped but are probably still up around 80% ish at least.Few have gone out completely and a fair few have been drafted in,we know (or at least this was the press figure) that Chung is on about 15K a week so we can assume that all the structurally important players are now on at least that.Add Jos,Sharp,Fox,Cork and there's no way that our increased revenues this season will diminish the effect of the salarial mass very much. We're in a good place right now but I see promotion as pretty necessary for us to sustain our current salary levels.
  11. There's a new report out that says that moderate but regular chocolate intake keeps you slim.I've never ever been overweight but I've certainly eaten my fair share of chocolate (and about half of the entire third world's share as well). Then again I don't eat crap or sauce or mayonnaise or anything like that.I used to run about 20km a day as well and for that you need the old unleaded which chocolate provides, not to mention the magnesium and other trace elements that it contains.
  12. Turnover was 16.4 million. I just assumed wages account for 93% of that, ie 15.5 million, which kind of makes sense because they were 12+ million the season before. No doubt player wages account for about 80/85% of that.
  13. Penguins were never all that big, used to be able to eat a packet of 7 in about 2/3 minutes, mind you I was a chocaholic.
  14. Must be something in it for them, reducing tax or death duties or something like that.Unless of course some of them have actually sold their shares already.Guess we'll never know.
  15. No wonder we were good last season, League 1 players on Championship+ salaries. To think that we laugh at Pompey and West Ham.
  16. We shall have to see but next season, now is not the time for judgement.Personally I think we shall need at least one major CB signing for our 25 man roster
  17. A very whimsical up list there, you may want that but it's nigh on mathematically impossible for it to happen.
  18. why would we want that total waste of space, haven't we had enough Wright-Phillips here already? they are Londoners and perform best in that environment.
  19. Up Saints evidently,West Ham,Bimingham...the remaining 69 football league clubs will get some more PL money that way, might not have as many admins. Down Wolves (so that we can get their keeper) QPR (might be able to get Taraabt) Blackburn..apppointing the tea boy as manager should never pay off.
  20. means control the controlables, Nigelisms are now being transformed into acronyms.
  21. North West deadwood....In fact Blackburn,Wigan,Bolton would be a nigh on clean sweep of NWDW.
  22. Thanks but no thanks, can't afford to flip about now.Squad is just fine as it is,unless of course we have a non-disclosed injury to one of the 3 CBs.
  23. No we don't, ridiculous thing to say. Did he play at Hull..no,did we lose ..no. Chaplow is vastly overated, our blip was more to do with the peturbed central defence than Chaplow's absence.
  24. That's not right is it, if West Ham beat Reading, Reading's maximum is reduced to 73+6x3=91 so we need 13 points to go up counting on our GD.
