  1. Perhaps he thought they'd all be listening to Solent on their smartphones and tablets. Perhaps he wasn't wrong.
  2. Yes, West Ham are decent away from home and Peterborough probably just had a flash in the pan last night. They've nothing left to play for and that leaves them a lot of liberty.
  3. No, they don't have the best squad or the best manager. They're where they should be.If West Ham had had the means at their disposition to beat the best side in the league at home and then draw away they'd be top,it's a simple as that.
  4. But if they can beat Peterborough in the match in hand they will be in the top 2.These matches in hand throw everything out of sync.Don't agree with them looking like outsiders either, they have all the cards in hand to make the top 2 as do we.Reading on the other hand have to beat West Ham.West Ham's home form is their problem and that may well be down to the nervosity of their fans.
  5. Really can't understand all the West Ham animosity, they're playing the football that they think they need to to achieve their goal. They've spent a lot of money, so have we, they pay high wages.. so do we,each in proportion to their revenues and expectations. None too enamoured of their fans but I've nothing against West Ham.
  6. I thought we were a difficult club to deal with, never seen unpleasant mentioned before. Anyway it's fine with me,we don't want to sell players that other clubs want and we don't want to pay over the odds for our acquisitions, what's wrong with that. Perhaps we have a structure that can't be contourned with a simple call to the manager.
  7. here you are.To be honest I've never seen it advertised as anything other than an end of season event.True that I haven't followed it much though. http://www.kumb.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=138384
  8. yep, clubs used the fag coupons to get the shirts and shorts.Anyway in those days you weren't a real man if you didn't smoke 60 Woodbines or Senior Service Full Strength a day.
  9. no comparison can be made between football in 1949 and that of 2012. In 49 the players probably had a couple of pints at half-time and the idea of getting into an ice bath and not going to the pub straight afterwards would be ridiculed..
  10. so is the team, they can't really expect any more than that, remember how many we were getting at the bottom of the Championship in 2009 before we went into admin.
  11. doubt if it would make any difference whatsoever, Saints will go into every game to win.Doubt if Nigel would tolerate any other attitude. Anyway Coventry will be long down by then, as will Skates and Doncaster.
  12. Perhaps Chung will be back for Saturday, he won't give a sh*t about relegating Doncaster, probably never even heard of the place.
  13. Still we need to make sure, if we score within the first ten minutes they'll probably fold completely, apparently that's what happened to them last night.I'm sure Nigel will know that.
  14. trouble with Doncaster is that lot of their players are on short term contracts until the end of the season and as they're more than likely to go down I can't really see that they have much motivation.Didn't they get hammered at home again last night?
  15. No it wasn't,we've beaten Barnsley since then
  16. Their players are inferior to ours and with the game in hand that they have they can be second which is their rightful place really. They've the advantage of having Reading at home and a victory there will see them promoted as likely as not. Fat Sam is still on course to get them promoted despite the nocive effect of their sh*te fans on them at home, that's what he's there to do and he probably will. Far too many of our fans consider West Ham's squad as being superior to ours, it isn't.We have the best striker in the league, the best OM,the best DM,two of the best CBs and probably the 2nd or 3rd ranked keeper, the spine is better than any other side and that's what it's all about.
  17. no because it's 10 bookings now up until about Easter Sunday and 15 after that.
  18. Yes it is
  19. 'bout 4 additional but it's over anyway.
  20. takes away Brum's dog's chance as well. Need to be objective, Pompey will still go down.
  21. even better Reading 3-1 down, looks like it's starting to be all over.Just need the fat lady.
  22. and another one
  23. err SDR for Guly,Hammond for Punch and now Harding for Fox.
  24. what? they're a goal up on a weekday home match for the first time since 2004 apparently so they play 11 defenders behind the ball. Can't fault the tactics really.Especially as Reading are behind
  25. Nietzscshe dealt with this in his 'thoughts from Nottarf Krap"
