We have 11 players on the field at any time who'd probably score from a penalty, can't remember the geometry of the free kick though, whether it would have gone in without the deflection or not.

Morgan can pass anywhere you like, seen him do it loads of time, if he doesn't pass forward it's because there is no movement for him to pass to. Lallana is a better player, 100% cast iron fact,Lambert's style requires that we play in a certain manner, this also makes us utterly predictable and easy to shut down.Barnard may well be the equal of Lambert for all we know, he certainly is more mobile and allows us a bit of licence on the tactical plan.If you take away the penas and free kicks from Lambert's total last season (ok we needed those goals and he certainly does take a good FK) how many goals from open play does that give him (serious question)?

perhaps he realises that with a different manager our entire game might just not focus on Rickie Lambert but be geared to suit the talents of far better players, he might only get 20 goals in a season and therefore less money. Just a hypothesis mind you.

not in football it doesn't, you can't just resign from a fixed term contract in any walk of life anyway.If you quit before the end of your contract your employer is entitled to compensation just as you are if the contract is broken by the employer for no valid reason.
