  1. I would think that Will Shakespeare wrote Loves Labours Lost after a particularly trying afternoon with Mistress Anne down at Stratford FC. I took my ex once, will never live down the shame of the tea-flask and the grapes, took the current mrs twice, both times to watch PSG at the Parc, unfortunatly she also shamed me by berating some innocent neighbour over his continual fag consumption. Thus by 2 pratical experiments I have learned that women and football are immiscible.
  2. strange that as 100% of voters don't know exactly why he was sacked. Only the don't knows can possibly be right. Anyway AP was far too fond of spending money for players he personally wanted and probably made very little effort to work with ones he didnt want, viz Gillett, never understood that really, bloke can obviously play in a higher league but not for us,not even as a sub, obviously a I don't want you I want someone else issue. It could well be that NC wouldn't spend money on a particular player and AP threw his toys out of the pram, hence the work with the academy stuff, maybe the club wanted Dean to be a first team hopeful and AP,true to form, wanted to spend money on someone else, hence all the two more by tuesday stuff.
  3. crap, the players we have could get promotion if they are left to play as they are able, it's the negative tactics that f*ck us every time.Bet we could get promoted without a manager, but not with a bad one who's tactic is hoof it to Rickie all of the time.
  4. never mind the unassailable lead, an all day batting practice for the top order will do nicely.
  5. bets on what??? they'll go broke if they stop taking bets won't they:D
  6. anyway this has been scientifically disproven for a long time now
  7. except that I'd say that one or two players have gone slightly backwards since they've been here, not all but some. But then as you know I put that squarely down to to the coaching staff not been up to the technical level already existent in those players.
  8. because they recruit people who are exceptionally good at finding things out for them. If you can get that sort of job with a top bookies then you could probably sail into 5 or 6 as well. My dad had a longstanding friend who was an East London bookie, not much he didn't know about anything that concerned his business (and a lot of other sombre stuff as well)
  9. wouldn't we all
  10. and Shearer is going player-manager just until Rickie sorts himself out is that right? He could still score somewhere between 6 and 8 goals a game against sides like Brentford and Rochdale
  11. what would that be then? that there was no ready made replacement hence no premeditated sacking?
  12. that was an old Gene Pitney song wasn't it 24 hours from admin?
  13. or Marc Wotte
  14. not an adept of rhyming slang...Bristol cities-titties as in show us yer bristols then luv
  15. that would be stupid...fully to be expected of Wilkins then, Morgan had a pretty good game for ther bleuets this evening, always present, kept it simple, relancing play time and time again, pity about all the greedy, clueless kids playing in front of him though.
  16. he'll have to pay like everyone else
  17. I bet sfc1971 didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition
  18. he's never been to Essex then either, just because 98.59 % of the population have incomes of a million a year it doesn't make it the most cultivated and intelligent populace on this earth.
  19. keeping your money is the best bet
  20. there should be a law against bookies profiting from people's idiocy, betting on WGS, kenna,MLT and all that sort of candidate is just gifting them money. If it's burning a hole in your pocket give it to Unicef or something FFS.
  21. by the by on the subject of Paul Allen, I see that he's sueing a few of the hitech big names, must be raising funds to buy SFC then.
  22. the theory is that the less you post the more you know....and that you only post when you have something valid to relate, hmmmmmmm 7595.. lets me out then.
  23. although the user name sfc1971 might well indicate that the OP is 39,unless of course he started watching saints in 1971, anyway KK would be a very retrograde appointment.
  24. although the user name sfc1971 might well indicate that the OP is 39,unless of course he started watching saints in 1971 oops doubled up, is this forum slow or what
  25. good to see we're taking it really slow, they need to win, we just need more points than them. 22/0 off 14 overs.
