agreed...till today, i was opened minded about what lowe was doing with the finanaces and still am...but today demstrated that it does not matter what he does..we are fooked as a club with him at the helm...we really are..rightly or wrongly.. I would rather he stepped down and let someone else have a bash...by all means, hand over what he is doing etc but he cannt remain in charge as after today, more and more people will just turn their backs from the club...

I have been open minded about lowes return and what he is clearly trying to do about the finances...and so far have given him the benefit of the doubt.. but reading what went on today (yes, just reading and I dont claim to have all the facts) I have to say, I think it is time for him to go... it seems crouch/lawrie duo would have done nothing but gain more support today...if it is true what they did and got a good chunk of the AGM to walk out...then, seriously, rupert MUST be on borrowed time.. he is not stupid and im sure he knows it... add all the to the (obvious) disaster that is Jan Poortvliet...ntot even his staunchest defenders on here can bring themselves to do so with any credibility any more...he is clearly out of his depth it is embarassing and I really feel sorry for him...He is clearly a decent bloke with all the right intentions but SHOULD NOT have been brought in for us... lowe cannot hide the blame for jan...not this time. What I am trying to say is that I gave lowe the benefit of the doubt and now have accepted his time is up (again) and whilst he is here, there is no way the club can move on from where we are....no way is there any other 'fence sitters' like me who have made a choice..?

i agree with you mate...but i cant help thinking they had a chance to show how weak hs postion is....if you get me.... now he will just say he has 95% backing when in reality that is not entirely true... a chance missed here by those 3 to make a point at that moment in time..

why...they should have voted against him and shown his position to be weaker than it is..... if you get me...should they have voted against him..even though they would know he would win..it would stop him from saying he has 95% backing etc...

good point... It could well be that the average fan has no real idea of the state the club was in last season that resulted in lowe getting 95% of the vote to come back....

doesnt it say on the OS that something like 11k worth of shares decided not to vote....:confused: IF that is right...I wonder what % of the total shares 11k is..?

i still think the residents of southampton circa a quater of a million people..should campaign to get the city council to buy sms and donate it back to the club... would be better than some of the crap schemes they come up with for the city..

if only crouch and co had appointed pearson/billy davies the minute burley left, and set about on preparing a plan for the summer then I very much doubt lowe and wilde would be here now... the dod/gorman fiasco put so many off IMO and stopped the weekly "the takeover is just around the corner" comments...also

oh..i agree with what you say...lowe is no good for us and some of his manager choices have been insane..from grey, wigley, sturrock and jan..have been utterly insane.. BUT, to say it all went wrong with askham is a rather silly point as we achieved a huge amount upto 2004..then the rest, is of course history..

i say again...who had a problem with lowe prior to 2004..? hardly many.. nick illingsworth is about the only person who could, that went public before 2003 about his dislike for lowe..ask him in the UI..he will tell you that he was verbally abused at the start of the cup final by many many fans asking him "do you still dislike lowe now you f-ing c**t"... I remember we found it great that so many modeled themselves on how we did it...the right way, with no sugar daddy etc...no one had a real problem then..and that was 5 years ago...not 12..
