agree..but it does not happen in the real world...probably in league 1 but not at the top clubs.. maybe we are getting ahead of ourselves in that respect.. just look at chelsea, does ancelotti sign the 14-17 year olds....erm I think not... same can be said for most clubs at a decent level that is the way it is these days....

considering reed hs no influence on the first team..that would be highly unlikely...you knew that, as you commented on the thread..are you trying to look for a problem that may not even exist..? as for inexperienced...yeah, most of who have only really played at league 1 level..so yeah he is probably going to be the 2nd most experienced manager they work for so far in theur careers... unless you count the likes of dean wilkins (at brighton) paul trollope, paul ince, paul tisdale, andy scott and steve tilson more experienced than adkins at winning enough games to get oiut of this league I am amazed at the level of utter bollix some actually spout on here

how do you know if he has any say when we are talking about first team players coming in... as for the academy..that would be no different to most around the country why cant people accept it for what it is....reed does not make decision for the first team..why do people want to find something wrong..?

on the saints player...way before the game, they were talking to the cherries chairman and at one point they thought they were off air.. he said (cant remember his name) that he could not remember when howe went for the interview (yeah right) and how much of a big club we are etc...and that he talked howe around from commiting to them should he get the job.....and also said that adkins would "get that lot down the rd" promoted then they went back "on air" it was funny

i think we are bad for it...I live in plymouth and they are no where near as bad as this... they were very happy (in general) to get peter reid in as manager.....I dread to think the meltdown if he came here. adkins is a very astute appointment IMO..on the way up, knows this league and knows how to play football.. yet, some still think we can get MoN.....
