I must know avid football fans from all corners of the UK....at best..one or two knew about this at SMS...at worst..the reaction was...oh.. nothing masssive being reported down here in the west country...most, infact, nearly all could not care less about saints and a little tittle tattle with the press of course saints fans from where ever who have access to the net will know..but to suggest the press are going ballistic is way OTT..unless, the southampton region get a different issue of the sun/mirror to the rest of the country (which is possible)

live outside of southampton...then you would not have a clue..unless you looked out for the 5 line match report they give us.. seriously

the parking system and penalties in this country are stupid beyond belief

seeing as I dont live in southampton..the echo is pretty much a no no...I may pop on there..but not to look at the pictures.. for match reports..I read this place..you get loads and can make an informed judgement...you also tend to know what people will post...example..NickG will say the players are brilliant when we have lost....and others will say they were crap when we have won... but you can make a very informed judgement and ask questions about the games by simply going on here...which beats any report in the echo..or the 5 lines in the sun

to be honest....im sick and tired of people calling me "dumbdays, dulldays" etc.... if you have an issue PM me....or just stick to the topic yeah..? or dont post..??? have reported your post..and will report everythread that has a pop at me like you do..and im sure most others dont want to read it...

then what is the problem then with what NC does either way...? surely, doing this now, riding the "little" storm will be worth it if we go up etc in the enxt few years... as for people saying this is a "massive" own goal....there is nothing massive about this....we have about 5 lines per week in the red tops...now we have 5 lines but called south coast club... i cant remember the last time I relied on the sun etc for match reports.

I dont think anyone is saying fireman or policeman cant or should not have the odd free ticket... maybe you or someone should set up a "help for policeman" sort of campaign. do people realise that it is NON members of the armed forces that push for these freebies now and then... I went as part of the "tickets for troops" for the England v Mexico game back in May...it was very embarrassing and overwhelming havikng so many people wanting to shake your hand and say thank you......why they wanted to say that, that is their reasons... like it or not....people in the armed forces are dear to many MANY people in the UK it seems
