  1. what are you on about with indians and NHS...? there were (at the time just before the strikes) about 100 applicants for every job going in the fire service where do you draw the line..more money for the armed forces, then the police, the the doctors then teachers, the nurses, the ben men then then who is going to pay for this..? as for basic wage in the forces..depends what you mean....new recruit..? an admiral..?
  2. not really...but when there are very long list of applicants to be firemen, sort of tells you that the deal and conditions they were on were not too bad..
  3. have done and will do far more demanding shifts than that...
  4. good thinking...however, the queue is too long
  5. riiiight...so no time for WGS to get his own team in then... the day southgate gets a team (with a lowe like person involved) to a cup final and europe and then take a team from the CCC standard to the champions league group stages is the day I think WGS is not as good
  6. plus the hotels they get in the stop overs in far flung destinations, they are never too shabby
  7. I see the issue for electio reform..but that is all you are hearing about in swaying clegg...ffs same old same old....self seving tossers
  8. many of the firemen worked something like 4 day weeks too... I wish I could do that
  9. really..? whilst europe in on the verge of economic melt down....voting reform somehow seems to be top of the list in all this WTF...?
  10. you are right, they could look after us better...however, i was not pressed ganged into joining the RN...i can leave if I like
  11. cleggs problems were that his party have some loony ideas his ideas on immigration, justice and defence are loonacy
  12. one thing..they all over estimated cleggs lot
  13. People can pot what links they like about the fire strike. I was there, I lost my time for them to be paid double of youn lads who later went to die in Iraq.... I spoke to fire fighters and many were ashamed of what they were doing and I guess some were not What did happen was when the Iraq war looked on the cards they soon shut up.
  14. If putting the country first is what is needed. Surely election reform is near bottom of the 'to do' list
  15. they was a fire liason officer went to each incident with us when I took part in Fresco. They REFUSED us access to their equipment (isnt it owned by the state.?) so we had to make do with 1960's stuff... they refused to help whilst watching people die or be put in near death situations because of equipment usage that, is a matter of FACT, not fiction or hear'say...FACT.
  16. tories gain another from labour - milton keynes south
  17. Hahaha just woke up and seen how the libdems vote falling apart hahaha They are a bunch of loons and should look at their policies on the euro and immigration and even defence Only 45 more seats for the Tories to get from 68 Looks like a hung parliament though, still already the biggest Tory swing since the 1930s Torys have alliances lined up or them to take power Good good
  18. Old cleggys lot taking a kicking. When this was it for them. Mayb they should not stand or lunacy policies
  19. a safe labour seat and the other votes went away from the libdems..they dropped also
  20. she looks alright (from the shoulders up)
  21. that is what sky reckon.. the exit polls will be wrong..more votes than ever have been cast by post and they have no influence on exit polls
  22. like i said..even with 307 seats...would be the biggest swing for 80 years...
  23. just said on sky..if it is a hung parliament, brown remain Prime Minister until the point he resigns
