it looks odd that you have £20m worth of talent...in Rodriguez, mayuka and Ramirez and have not had £20m with or input..no where near...ramirez has on occasions. for saints to spend £7m and £12m on players, they need to be in the team making a difference.. clyne has, and yoshida looks decent...steve davis is a decent squad player...but the two biggest could have had that money spent so much more wisely

what are your thoughts...we have pretty much played everyone...is this years league (so far) as strong as recent years...? is the standards as high as ever..? what team have impressed you most that we have played...? IMO, this year (so far) is probably one of the weakest leagues for a long time...definitely weaker (IMO) from the league we left in 2005 and the last couple of years.. the top sides are no where near as good...although, Man U are stronger going forward just crap at the back reading are just utterly terrible and QPR managed to go 15+ games without a win and the moment they do they come from the bottom of the league. who are you non-saints stand out players...who, regardless of price would you have if you could pick just one player...? from a saints POV, going down in this pretty average league by premier league standards would be very poor given the money spent...

I dont think anyone is saying that is not true...just commenting on value for money....to me, if he was playing for another team you would think that £12m was too much....likewise, if steve de ridder cost £10m, you would say that was over priced there is a huge difference between the two players but the point is there

actually..football is both short and long term...spending £20m+ for the future when we have just gone up is utter madness for our record signing and a pretty big signing in the league...I thought he would come and be more accomplished that what he is for the money a club like us have spent on him and his wages.. just my opinion.
