And Don’t whatever your opinion it’s just rammed full of Call Of Duty twats repeating Guardian and Daily Mail articles. I never thought I’d say this by the only accurate paper is The Financial Times. Come to think of it most of the posters on here think football business is the same as Football Manager 🤭

I like him from a Saints perspective. I’ve havnt posted on the Russia thread for ages because it’s moronic regurgitated NATO pap.

Finally someone that can see the picture. I’ve followed Saints since I was 5 handily my gran lived in Archers Court. She used to run a pub annoyingly can’t remember the name of it. When we were in the Third Division the players used to drink in there before the game. umm things have changed beyond imagination.

Typical ignorant comment. One of the reasons Dragan is always fighting the Serbian government is because its pro Russian stance. Serbia has historically been pro Russian ( read Tolstoys Anna Karenina 1878 ) Serbia was one of the only countries in Eastern Europe that didn’t side with Hitler. Dragan wants to move to a free market stance.

Athletic have deteriated they’ve realised there no money in vaguely intellectual sports article and Saints Extra are just a clickbait Twitter site. people have to realise Twitter is as much a news site as Facebook.
-
No link. As I explained I am fascinated by Southampton of course and I have spent a lot of my free time investigating SR. The informations there if you have the time to investigate it.
-
Dragan isn’t just a football director for example one of his many companies one of the most dominant media companies in Southeast Europe, providing broadband, mobile and TV services in eight countries. Has huge companies in Greece, Hungary.

Semmens will be leaving and for the hundredth time Jason Wilcox is the new director of football https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2023-01-20/announcement-jason-wilcox-southampton-football-club-director-of-football-2023 Rasmus will move back to overseeing the Sports Republic roster. it wasnt SR plan to have Rasmus in charge of recruitment but Shields quitting for Chelsea dropped us in it. Still rate Rasmus long term but I think his success at Brentford made him overconfident. I know I’ve been accused of being an SR stooge but SR have a long term plan which all good businesses should have. I do wonder if some of this is too complicated for some of our fans. When I mentioned there is a new stadium in the pipeline I was met with derision. FFS I didn’t mean next season. The SR project is long term. If anyone investigates the history of Dragan its unrelenting success there’s loads to read and watch online. I even get it translated. Dragan takes on the Serbian Government successfully on a regular basis. He is the richest man in Serbia about £ 1.5 billion. Hes a big headed/proud man there’s absolutely no way he’s going to let this project fail. ironically long term the clubs that will be in trouble are the Oil City clubs. To back end things I’ve been housebound for a couple of months so I have the time to investigate quite thoroughly.

Yeah he’s done well 🙄
-
We can easily afford Potter and joining us would be hugely appealing with our remaining players and by far the highest spending money not including any players we sell. Yet again the fans scapegoat is going back to overseeing the Sports Republic roster which he will be perfectly suited. I really don’t think a lot of the fans understand the complicated business model.
-
Rasmus is not responsible for recruitment anymore FFS
-
Bigger picture sunshine. As has been said we have often been flirting with danger. I always thought looking for a scapegoat is a sign that fans don’t understand how complicated current football business is.
-
Get where your coming from but we need a clean sweep.
-
He wanted to come but was insulted with the by the end of this season contract which he interpreted as we would give him a shot to see if he’s any good. Don’t forget he is American. Clearly he thought if Saints wanted him they would immediately offer him a decent contract. I think he would be a good fit. The restructure of our board and the promised continued financial backing would make us appealing. That would also go for any good manager who fans might think might not go in the championship. yes we have fucked up on occasion but there’s a lot going for Southampton. Still talk of new/revamped new stadium and despite some whingers a big fan base. Yet again Rasmus is not in charge of any recruitment from now.
-
In a piss poor league. Big Ange maybe.
-
That’s exactly what I mean
-
Don’t disagree but we are not the only club that has had a poor season. Admittedly can’t get worse than bottom of the league for what seems like the whole season though😳. we’ve got to move on. Potentially could well be an exciting season. As I keep on saying Rasmus is not responsible for recruitment from now on. It wasnt the plan for him to do recruitment this season. He’s a clever guy but clearly became far ahead of himself. You really can’t excuse Nathan Jones.
-
We have far more money than the other two
-
No because he’s lost his cosiness with most of the departed directors. He won’t be privy to some of the news. He rarely asked the rarely asked any cutting questions.
-
Give it a break the amount of clubs in the EPL that have underperformed this season in mental. Big picture the only teams that come out with any credit are Brentford and Brighton. Everton are are a total clusterfuck debted to the extreme. Half built new stadium well behind schedule. Genuinepossibility of going broke. Look at Chelsea FFS now they are a laughing stock. There’s no way SR are asset stripping. Our failure next season will demolish their multi club model. That won’t be allowed to happen. Nice bloke but ignore Adam Blackmore the purge includes his special status with the club the amount of times he had to asked cutting questions and failed.
-
He will at least have a small shortlist. The beauty of it we have enough money to entice a top flight manager. For example Saints would be a great opportunity for someone like Potter. As I keep saying that’s not even including any players we sell.
-
No idea who the new manager is other there is a shortlist in place. Ambivalent about Potter although he was on the list when we got Ralph. I remember the stories about him going out and helping clearing the snow when he was manager of Östersund. He was clearly hampered by the clusterfuck that was Chelsea’s board. OK Rasmus decision making was erratic but there are a lot of clubs long term in more of a mess than us .
