  1. Ralph, though, has been raising expectations:
  2. Krueger seemed pretty bullish about keeping VVD back in May: http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/10880822/southampton-prepared-to-turn-down-60m-bid-for-virgil-van-dijk
  3. I didn't realise you were telepathic and knew his inner motives, Les mini me.
  4. So has Steve Hilton.
  5. Did he actually say anything vaguely verifiable re. puel/new manager?
  6. Cue Glasgow quoting the low-end figure.
  7. The same person who challenged Sadiq Khan to an IQ test.
  8. More concerned Charlie's been in Barbados - recall the havoc the place caused the Happy Mondays when recording Yes Please!
  9. Is 'clerical' a dim euphemism for waste and inefficiency? Leaving aside the complexity and interdependence of different policing activities, there has been a 20% decline in the number of specialist armed officers since 2010. In response to attacks abroad, Cameron did commit £140m just before his resignation to reversing this fall and recruting more firearms officers by 2021; but the trend to date has been clear.
  10. Maybe you hang around with a lot of men.
  11. Charlie's going to jail. (metaphorically speaking)
  12. You mean in relation to a quote that was taken out of context by the cretinous Kuenssberg and for which she was found to breach impartiality and accuracy guidelines? Stop farting around in your robe, lapping up everything the Tory campaign tells you and instead show a bit more scepticism and curiosity, old boy.

He sure does. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/11366206/Gary-Neville-The-era-of-the-gaffer-is-over.html Uncle Les was in full on coked up, tony montana mode those days. #pridebeforethefall

What tripe. We picked up plenty of points against the traditional top 6 sides when we actually finished in the top 6. Results (home:away) below: Arsenal WD Man C WL Tottenham LW Man U LW Liverpool WD Chelsea LW In sum, we picked up 20 points in 2015/16, compared to 4 points in 2016/17, a 16 point differential. That explains virtually all of the difference between our two league finishes, given we finished 17 points better off in 2015/16 than last season.

Read their forum and he appears the no.1 choice among posters. Thought that would be clear for a fluent French speaker as yourself.

I thought one of the criticisms of Uncle Les is that he's a ditherer? This is virgin territory for him as previous management decisions have been forced on the club.
  18. The same PM who made a pig's ear of the UK Border Force and the same party that has consistently opposed ID cards?
  19. It depends. Would treat things on a case-by-case basis. Many have blood on their hands and there are strong arguments they shouldn't be let back in; however, there will be some disillusioned returnees who were peripheral figures and can be rehabilitated as well as potentially used for counterintelligence and counternarrative purposes. Of course, accurately gauging the threat posed by individual returnees is very difficult, so arguably, any approach should veer on the side of caution.
  20. "Be more like the French" -that's what this bloke argued too back in 2013. Things worked out well for France, didn't they? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/terrorism-in-the-uk/10025512/France-shows-us-how-to-deal-with-jihadis.html

How about those who wrote off Clasie and were pilloried because of it?
  22. Whatever you're cooking, Casey, let's hope it's more successful than this morning's contributions on here.
  23. Are you sure? Welcome some proof as he tends to use 'Islamic' (see his interview with Neil).
  24. You did listen to the speech, didn't you? Admit it, you don't know whether you're coming or going, little fella
