When you read posters saying they miss Ralph, it really makes you realise just how poor Jones has been. I really have no confidence in us getting anything out today, which would be a massive missed opportunity. Throwing the Newcastle game (because that’s what he did) was not a great idea as it did nothing to bolster the fragile mentality of the squad right now. My prediction for today? 3-1 Brentford.

Their biggest positive is Dyche - he will have a great chance to turn their fortunes around and probably doesn’t need new players to do it, hence his appointment. We on the other hand are relying on unproven players and a numpty Manager who doesn’t know what his best formation or 1st team is. And isn’t coaching the players to play intelligently. Before we start laughing at Everton’s plight, I suggest we wait until we’re above them and out of the R zone.

What surprises me the most is the number of forum members who are so concerned about getting flamed because they voted in a forum poll! Couldn’t make that stuff up! 🤣

I’ve voted 7 which for me represents a decent spend in a January window without big player sales. The other three points are reserved because (a) Jones is likely to thwart any quality improvement in the squad by playing a weak team for the most important matches and setting up the team with awful tactics and (b) the new players have yet to demonstrate their significant value.

If Jones doesn’t re-assure his players that they lost the game because of his tactical error, there’s a good chance he’ll lose the dressing room. And that’ll be the final nail in our Prem survival coffin.
