In my eyes he didn’t even deserve a yellow - he attacked the air in front of the keeper which he’s perfectly entitled to do and the keeper followed through to kick him. Nothing he could do about that and if that’s a foul then you could start dishing out cards for 50% of all challenges!

Looking ok, but I would like to see Edozie and/or Orsic closer to Mara - they’re too far apart to really work together to fashion something. It’s like watching three different strikers operating separately and independently of each other.

Minute I saw the line up I thought, good move Jones - you’re testing out the first team for the Championship.

I guess that goes to show that everything is relative as we were flying a lot higher back then.

Yeah well that’s my point. Outside of signing a striker that it seems we can’t afford, it makes you wonder why SR didn’t save some money by appointing a much better Manager in the same league as Koeman and Poch. Surely that would have represented less risk and less cost than the route taken? I’ve believed for a while that with the present squad a decent Manager would get us playing better - I.e. specifically passing formations, pressing, shooting, scoring.

Out of interest, does anyone here think Koeman or Poch would make a better stab at getting this squad to play better football and win games of football? I do - I don’t think it’s all about the money all the time. If that were the case we would never beat City 2-0 for example…it just wouldn’t be possible.

Well we now know that was an ‘exaggeration’ because apparently Jones was responsible entirely for the Bree signing.
