Thank feck I can enjoy the game and celebration with other fans who just love to go and support a winning team. Jeez some of you need a ferking reality check.

I tend to agree. I love getting wound up by players and screaming at them. The idea that I would then go to the police is pathetic. It's part of the fun of the game, like Giant Haystacks winding the old wrestling crowd up... I remember watching a Pompey game and I think it was Ian Baird playing for Leeds at the time. He suffered so much stick throughout the game he eventually bioled over, reacted and was sent off! That's the beauty of it. How about tearing MK Dons to shreds at their home? Can we count that result? Norwich have not beaten us regardless of what happens in large parts of the game. No team can have 100% control or ball retention. We're a good side, and I wouldn't swap any of our midfield for Alan Ball or Jimmy Case - they would be made to look static at the pace of today's game. Legends in their era but leave them there.

It was a shocker!!!! I'm actually not a fan of tv refs in any sport, but for issues like that... It's not like it was marginal, it was a total misapplication of the rules.

Agreed, irrespective of incompetence, the ref's decision is final. Players should respect that even where they don't respect the ref. Captains should be able to approach the referee and question any decision to have it explained, but that's it.

It's hard to explain but Defoe was off-side in one phase of play, then he came back on side, the defender lost the ball played it to the keeper who also lost it to Defoe who then scored, then the flag went up for the off-side in the previous phase of play...

Should have turned over to watch Spuds and Scousers then!!! But on a lighter note, bossed 80% of that game, denied a stone-waller and held on for a bloody good result. Worst refereeing I have seen until Spurs were denied a completely legit goal because the ref and lino don't know the fecking rules!!!!!! It's pathetic. It's time refs were all 100% full time professional paid accordingly and supported by video technology. If some to55er grabbed me by the throat I would fecking deck him too.
