  10. Seriously, people get kicked because it's called foot ball. the clue is in the name. But oh no, the minute a bloke kicks it and then makes contact with someone because of his momentum, cheerio...

  21. I see, so CEOs are not allowed Saturday's off... To answer your points in turn. 1. After a few days of Operation Market Garden, Montgomery realised his plan was not working and had to withdraw. Do you advocate that he should have carried on despite evidence that the plan was flawed? 2. Getting relegated with our infrastructure will most likely plunge the club into adminsitration. This will blow your financial sustainability model out of the water. There will be no TV income, ticket revenue will halve, commercial sales will halve. What then? 3. When we were relegated to this Division, people talked about the opportuntiy to regroup, start winning again, get that winning mentality back. I know of no organisation that thinks failure is the springboard for success. Staving of failure is the start. Your view on moving forward? From where? We are the 2nd worst team in the league.
  22. I am reminded of young Mick Channon when he said: Who has done more for this club - Lawrie or Lowe? I don't think Paxman would be asking that on University Challenge now would he...
  23. There's not a man alive more optimistic than me. But the last sentence is patent nonsense. We are where we deserve to be. Yes you can be lucky - and unlucky. But our best outfield player has been an on-loan Chelsea midfielder we have played at centre-back for half the games this season. That is a sad, sad reflection on where our squad and club is. That we will now be without Cork scares me to death. Our players are not good enough yet to sustain us in this division. Our manager lacks the experience to know what's required. But above all our strategy is wholly flawed. We need youth AND experience. We have youth and inexperience. Saving costs is all well and good, but in business there is TURNAROUND and there is DELAYING the inevitable. And in the current regime I see no evidence of where an increase in revenue is coming. No efforts to engage with fans. No efforts to raise capital with or without fans. No efforts to seek outside investment by brokering agreements across the shareholding. I could do a better job of running SFC. Genuinely I could.
  24. Relegation would not necessarily be the end. Allerdyce and Bolton. Curbishley and Charlton. Coppel and Reading. Lawrie and Saints. I'm sure there are plenty of others. Not that I am advocating relegation or JP. Just an observation.
