  1. One of those Id be pissed off with if we lose KWP but ultimately not overly bothered if we keep KWP
  2. He mentioned Charles got much needed game time.. I was sort of lumping Meghoma in with the youngsters I think
  3. We have a crucial game against Norwich on Saturday, if we had played Stephens/Bednarek or any of our first choice CMs last night and they picked up an injury then the opinion would rightly be; “why did we play them in a nothing game” I think we can question Martin for last night, up to a point, but at the moment its a freak result in isolation with mitigating circumstances Hypo isn’t really wrong in his insistence to ask what you’d do differently ? It did pertinently highlighted our need for reinforcement even before further outgoings though, of that I agree
  4. “I’ve compromised because of fans, and so on, a few little things but – no more. I’ve been very successful playing a fluent style, Luton were a real aggressive front-footed side. Statistically, there weren’t many better than me around Europe in terms of aggression, clean sheets, defending the box, balls in the box, xG, all those sort of things. “We were pound-for-pound the best because we were spending next to nothing and producing so much. And I’ve gone away from that” 😂 Yup.. fairly similar
  5. Listen.. if I get a chance to blame Semmens Im taking it
  6. The problem is we play a 3 man midfield and have; Smallbone, JWP, Charles, Alcaraz.. even if JWP stays thats not enough.. we’re 1 or 2 injuries/suspensions from S Armstrong/Aribo in there
  7. I personally think we need 1 now, so if JWP goes we’ll need 2
  8. you lads get the point and the BBC links up above He’s not happy
  9. tonights going well
  10. In fairness to Martin… he’s not held back
  11. Ill be honest I didn’t realise how painfully thin we are in certain areas until I tried to figure out a 2nd 11 for tonight.. it’s woeful We definitely need a CM and a CB.. even before Lavia and Lyanco/ABK move Frankly Stu Armstrong doesn’t have the legs to cover Cm anymore and Lyanco is even more dreadful than last year McCarthy is somehow even worse than I remember too… pitiful
  12. Irrefutable proof that McCarthy is dogshit then
  13. Edozie was excellent Friday
  14. Sorry lads, Im not really keeping up as Im at work Is Perraud playing CB ?
  15. There is a difference between being happy to stay and not wanting to leave I believe, as Ive said before, that Tino, JWP, Tella etc are relaxed and they’re happy to stay but understandably they will go if/when the club agrees a deal with a PL club Conversely Alcaraz I think has openly instructed that he doesn’t want the upheaval of a move and Salisu/Orsic actually instructed the club that they wanted to move Like Ive also pointed out, at the end of last season the French lads indicated they wanted to go.. Diallo has gone, I think Mara, Sulemana have relaxed on it.. im not sure where Perrauds heads at, not heard about him recently
  16. Not a lot you can do really, I expect they did a laxity test and then it’s basically a load of RTS tests and I believe they follow a certain 11 point protocol which basically tests strength of both legs and ensure they’re close as well as a ton of hop tests etc
  17. Nothing stopping it apart from logistics You have issues like player registrations, admin fees, signing on fees, contractual obligations etc Its just not something that will happen
  18. I actually like Stephens and Bednarek at this level but I do think we need to sign another CB to compliment them, possibly one with more of an aerial presence
  19. Ive never really been a fan of Holgate, but I thought Id give it the benefit of the doubt and look at his stats It doesn’t make good reading… https://footystats.org/players/england/mason-holgate Id say he isn’t an improvement on Bednarek or Stephens, and his passing stats are even worse
