  1. Nah.. according to OkdNick injured players are automatically sold
  2. Shame we’ve sold him
  3. At the time I agreed with the stance and, tbh, I still do our negotiations have allowed us to get; 58 instead of 35 for Lavia 35 + Downes instead of 25/30 for JWP 40 instead of 30 for Tino Now.. the club knew Lavia was off and got Charles in early.. we agreed a fee for JWP that included a replacement (probably) The only real first 11 signing we havn’t replaced straight away was Salisu and Ive agreed, and stated, we are desperately short at CB and that needs to be sorted Im not really sure where else expediting our sales would have helped ? Not sure what our resolve was around Aarons.. not like we’ve tried to replace Tino tbh.. should KWP leave and we get no adequate replacement my opinion will change but you can’t sell someone nobody is in for
  4. They will be defending deep, and so not allowing any space in behind ❤️❤️
  5. I think he is really anyway, I actually think his skillset is strong for this division but just not in out system. He actually played better off the left as a support striker Saturday as his run’s weren’t tracked as effectively by Norwich BUT we do need somebody able to occupy the CBs imo
  6. FWIW though Id understand it if we do lose him, it’s unfortunate but at or around 15m it makes sense to lose a player with one year left on his contract But Id question the sanity of selling much under that figure as I think, him being around the place is more important to us
  7. Exactly, and it’s exactly what I said about Haaland. If you’re a team in control then opposing sides will play a low block and most teams will be able to defend what’s infront of them, or trying to find space That becomes more difficult with a physical No9 that backs in, occupies and plays one twos…. Che, at this level, gives us that
  8. I think Im there.. Im not going to be too upset if we lose Che and gain Piroe.. but Id say its a move that might actually take us backwards, its imo, actually more of a gamble then just keeping Che
  9. Id say if Everton get anywhere near 15m then he’s off, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he didn’t play this weekend and is off early next week Which is a shame really because I think he’s our most effective forward in this set up
  10. Puts pressure on and disrupts the backline of teams attempting to play a low block Saying ‘all Haaland does’ is incredibly simplistic
  11. I think he’ll be fine there in the games that we have the midfield ascendancy But also two 8’s is mire achievable if we had a decent 6 behind them, be that Charles or Downes The issue last weekend is that Smallbone just isn’t destructive enough defensively
  12. Personally I think 7.20 is a bit early to be on the sauce but its 2023.. I won’t judge
  13. As some of us said previously… you really aren’t going to have clubs queuing up to snatch Djenepo, Lyanco etc off our hands.. Id imagine we’ll see a few loans in the next week That said I do expect a minimum of 2/3 incomings before window ends
  14. Listen… I was traumatised, now so are you 😂 cook your chicken
  15. Yeah it doesn’t mess about, I got it off undercooked chicken… was literally just on the bog for most of the day for 5 days… then thought I was ok… couple of hours later I had a fever and was shitting blood so ended up in A&E Not much fun
  16. He’s constipated
  17. Are you in Australia?
  18. In fairness, I got hospitalised the last time I had food poisoning so… no probably not 😂
  19. I don’t like this
  20. Well.. Genk want Onuachu apparently But Paintsil isn’t convinced to come here
  21. Id imagine if we can push City for a permanent deal, and they’re happy with that, then we can beat Leicester who will probably prioritise loans
  22. He was picked by the old scouting department and Rasmus
  23. He was poor last year, was replaced by McCarthy who was even worse This is a new season, with new tactics at a new level He’s openly backed by footballing minds much brighter than us, time to get behind them
  24. He absolutely is not
  25. I would imagine its got something to do with the fact he is probably the best distributor, as far as a GK is concerned, in the league. In a similar vein to how City are happy with Ederson who ranks around mid table from a shot save percentage, we are happy to retain Baz in goal.. mainly because his ability on the ball is far more important to us tactically, then having a goalkeeper that is better at shot stopping, then he is with the ball at his feet Statistics count, data counts, and realistically we should be able to reduce the shots he faces, whilst maximising our build up play. I think Bazunu is a good, young goalkeeper, my concern is I do think his confidence is low, so I absolutely applaud Russell and Jasons unequivocal support of him… do I think that he needs competition ? 100%… McCarthy doesn’t really work in any sense, because frankly he isn’t good enough at football basics to enable the detriment to our tactical approach Overall the hysterics over Bazunu on this forum is laughable, because again RM was 100% correct.. tactics and outfield players cost us 4 goals on Saturday.. not Bazunu
