Maybe.. squad depth wise we probably have the best in the division abd I think a lot are underestimating the levels of quality here We need 4 competent CBs Probably 4/5 CMs in varying positions 4 wingers 2/3 strikers So reality is we’re pretty well stocked…. Ultimately if we sign another CM and another 1/2 CBs id be happy, anything on top is a huge bonus

Edozie, Tella, SAA and Sulemana are all comfortably good enough at this level with Arma, Djenepo, S Armstrong, Aribo and probably Doyle, Ballard able to cover there too

Charles/Downes - 6 Smallbone/Downes - 8 Alcaraz/S Armstrong - 10 Aribo could probably play as a 10 if you’re happy without him running anywhere I think 1 more CM and we’re fine but its tricky… do you go back up or drop Smallbone, Alcaraz, Downes or Charles

No I agree, but Im trying to figure out if its him or the system. For example KWP looked a tad overrun at times today too and I think, of their attacks, those that weren’t a set piece initiated from wide areas So is it that the wide players don’t offer enough protection ? Do we need to be better at regrouping on transition ? Are KWP/Manning just poor 1v1 defenders ? Or a bit of it all ? Probably early to say

Exactly this I think even with the current squad set up right now, a dominating CB is also our priority… its not going to be the easiest find, but I think we need a CB both good in the air and able enough in possession and in 1 v 1 situations Outside of anything else it looks our most needed reinforcement to me Behind that, a CM to provide competition and probably a GK to take Baz out of the firing line

Have you read my post ? Ive said we need a new GK but he wasn’t to blame for any of the goals today You realise you are able to be objective For instance I like Manning but defensively he’s been very suspect today

And just like that we look so much more balanced with a DM at DM Allowing WS and CA more licence to push on too

Id suggest anybody blaming Baz for three, more or less unsaveable goals is a bit of a div Im happy blaming him when he is at fault, but effectively; Sargent was unmarked for the first, Id blame KWP or Bednarek, with equal blame for who ever allowed the cross Sara goal was useless defending centrally, a fantastic finish but absolutely dreadful midfield wise Rowe goal… I genuinely don’t even know who to blame, he’s completely unmarked start to finish… it looks like we mark zonally.. so who was marking that area ? We’re far too weak in two areas currently, we simply need to be better at defending set pieces, its not just a lack if height we are totally unorganised We need more midfield resilience, Smallbone is a fantastic, tidy footballer, but he’ll never be an effective 6 as long as he has a hole in his arse
