  1. In fairness to Martin… he’s not held back
  2. Ill be honest I didn’t realise how painfully thin we are in certain areas until I tried to figure out a 2nd 11 for tonight.. it’s woeful We definitely need a CM and a CB.. even before Lavia and Lyanco/ABK move Frankly Stu Armstrong doesn’t have the legs to cover Cm anymore and Lyanco is even more dreadful than last year McCarthy is somehow even worse than I remember too… pitiful
  3. Irrefutable proof that McCarthy is dogshit then
  4. Edozie was excellent Friday
  5. Sorry lads, Im not really keeping up as Im at work Is Perraud playing CB ?
  6. There is a difference between being happy to stay and not wanting to leave I believe, as Ive said before, that Tino, JWP, Tella etc are relaxed and they’re happy to stay but understandably they will go if/when the club agrees a deal with a PL club Conversely Alcaraz I think has openly instructed that he doesn’t want the upheaval of a move and Salisu/Orsic actually instructed the club that they wanted to move Like Ive also pointed out, at the end of last season the French lads indicated they wanted to go.. Diallo has gone, I think Mara, Sulemana have relaxed on it.. im not sure where Perrauds heads at, not heard about him recently
  7. Not a lot you can do really, I expect they did a laxity test and then it’s basically a load of RTS tests and I believe they follow a certain 11 point protocol which basically tests strength of both legs and ensure they’re close as well as a ton of hop tests etc
  8. Nothing stopping it apart from logistics You have issues like player registrations, admin fees, signing on fees, contractual obligations etc Its just not something that will happen
  9. I actually like Stephens and Bednarek at this level but I do think we need to sign another CB to compliment them, possibly one with more of an aerial presence
  10. Ive never really been a fan of Holgate, but I thought Id give it the benefit of the doubt and look at his stats It doesn’t make good reading… https://footystats.org/players/england/mason-holgate Id say he isn’t an improvement on Bednarek or Stephens, and his passing stats are even worse
  11. Alvarez is the Rice replacement, McTominay is absolutely the type of player JWP is, Utd just tried to utilise him as a 6
  12. As a surprise to absolutely nobody… it was rejected
  13. Yeah Id say McTominay is probably the midfielder they want in the position that JWP would play So if they get him Id agree
  14. In his position yes Rice is pretty much in the top two DMs in the premier league, its either him or Rodri… but considering JWP has an entirely different skillset its a lazy comparison 35m is a fair price for JWP imo, Id of liked more due to his obvious value to us is probably more than his appropriate market value
  15. He’s also injured… well.. back now, I expect him play Tues
  16. Perraud will be gone soon I think
  17. Apparently Boro want 8m for Akpom…. Seems very cheap that
  18. For a strong Norwich side, was woeful in the prem and Germany
  19. We’re more dynamic than that, and to be fair Adams wins his fair share of aerial balls but also adds a lot more For me its Adams or a new signing, with Arma being available if the game gets stretched
  20. Ive not really seen anything from him that suggests he’s capable His passing game for a start is awful unfortunately
  21. Saints analysis did a breakdown of him pre SW, and, in the whole I do like that account BUT Armas game is based entirely about making late runs in behind… SW set up specifically as an extremely low block to stifle any space in behind them.. unfortunately I think it’ll be a common theme this year We’ll be better playing off a striker in the mould of Che Adams who can occupy one of the oppositions CBs and contribute more in possession Arma worked hard, but I don’t think he fits these tactics
  22. Wanted him for ages. Surprised he hasn’t moved tbh Probably 20m+
