Well I can’t see them wanting Stephens now tbh Could push Villa to push for JB I suppose
-
I never said it about Vestergaard, he was a terrible CB that covers his inadequacy because he is very good on both feet We robbed Leicester for Vestergaard for 15m Bednarek isn’t a terrible defender, nobody got out of the end of last year with any credit but Bednarek was the scapegoat despite the fact tactically we were suicidal
-
Its almost as if most people in the game realise he isn’t as bad as is made out on here isn’t it
-
Linked to Aarons again on twitter Not sure what to make of it, he is a fantastic young RB… but if we bring him in then we will have 3 first 11 RBs under 25 on the books Could work if we see KWPs long term future here as a LB maybe ? Otherwise Im not sure about it
-
He does play like this every game, he just doesn’t always get goals FWIW I loved his display as much because he affects and changed the game with his hold up as much as he did with his goals Thats the difference
-
Yeah think so, I mean, if Garner is available then go for it, we’ve been ling term admirers and potentially Romeu wants a move back to Spain so it makes sense My point was if there is no movement in or out there this window its not the end of the world, we have cover
-
Leeds are 2-0 up against Chelsea and Leicester have only lost Schmeichel
-
My thoughts too really, Im just going off of Tanswell’s words but ultimately I think its a position we have enough depth in.. I think ABK, Salisu, Bednarek, Lyanco is enough especially IF we have gone back to the 4 atb That does change of course if we lose both JB/JS… and at that point Id like to see us bring in known quality if possible Realistically I think we need another 10, FB and a striker.. spending at CM/CB etc just isn’t necessary
-
I think we’ll go abroad yeah, theres a few available… Ive mentioned John brooks on a free before and think he can offer something but yeah Other than Holding, Bailly or maybe Boly (not convinced Wolves will let Boly go and not sure Bailly’s current injury status) thats all I can think of Im not convinced Holding is much better thsn JB anyway Id much rather try to find someone from abroad if possible but there’s risk there Personally Id just demote him to the understudy for ABK/Salisu unless we can get someone to upgrade on all 3
-
Laughing emoji’s and a response that’s added nothing at all Nice to see nobody has actually bothered to understand what Ive written and are just sat on the anti JB bandwagon
-
Who ? This is why I asked you see… off the top of my head.. Boly ?
-
I honestly think if he is given a consistent run and Ralph avoids dropping him mid purple patches then he can kick on and get 15 goals this year But I like him for more than his goals, he is a handful
-
Im not completely convinced by Ralph.. I was always pro Ralph until our emd of season form and the dire 352 experiment this year But regardless of that, pre season we were looking at difficult August fixtures and 4 points from 9 is good even if in hindsight Leeds/ Leicester are poor
-
Out of interest… we’re apparently looking for an experienced premier league CB I genuinely can’t think of any that are attainable and better then JB ?
-
I didn’t understand why we played two similar strikers up top yesterday, they just made similar runs and neither offered an out ball I was calling out for Che’s inclusion repeatedly yesterday… and predictably he changed the game So yeah I don’t really understand Ralphs choice but I think it had something to do with his lack of training time
-
Exactly, his first involvement yesterday was to back into and occupy Evans, hold him off and do a give a go which led to a dangerous attack His inclusion changed our attacking shape entirely, and thats what he brings.. obviously yesterday he could of had a hattrick… he was electric when he came on
-
Fully agree
-
Apparently he came off injured.. but looked to me like it was coming anyway to bring Lyanco on who was seemingly told to be a wrecking ball for 5 minutes 😂
-
Looked like he was yeah, with Aribo right and Armstrong left.. then in the defensive transition Ely dropped back into a 3 (4321) But then yeah… they changed Ely/Aribo around briefly but after 20 or so went to a 4222… I find all of that stuff quite interesting so apologies 😂 Good to see fluidity
-
The lad looks like he’s been defending at the top level for the past 15 years Hell of a player
-
I think he was forced into dropping Adams due to him missing training this week, but he definitely changed what he needed to. Absolute credit goes to him today for dropping the 352 in favour of a 4 back formation but also.. the tactical tweeks in game.. going from 4231 to 4321 to 4222… it nullified Leicester effectively and he made his changes when necessary to turn the screw Im still not 100% convinced but, overall, our transfers have been good and we’ve taken 4 points from a largely difficult first 3 games Long may it continue 👏🏻

Can we stop pretending that a back 3 offers more defensive stability because clearly it doesn’t. Excellent defensive display today, Bazunu, apart from the questionable free kick goal (great strike, shouldn’t have gone in). Lavia is so effective in that position, breaking up play and transitioning the ball and both ABK and Salisu looked genuinely unflappable. KWP looked back to his marauding best and assured defensively and hats off to Djenepo who didn’t at all look like he deserved the criticism he gets defensively on todays display The 4222 offers us more going forward, Mara looks a good player and Im not convinced he should of been pulled over Armstrong who didn’t look like he was up to it again today but Che changed the game today, Im absolutely astounded that we are looking to cut ties, he was the glue that held our attacks together when he came on Lastly.. was interesting to see how the formations moved around today tactically, and was great seeing Ralph in discussions with his coaching staff. Looked like we started in a 4231 that moved into a 4321 in defence and we ended in a 4222 with Ely covering Djenepo All in all a lot to love from today and long may it continue
-
Id say he deserves it Che changed the game today, he is more than a goalscorer, he is an effective outlet and good foil for his striker partner and wide men, today he added goals too and really should of had a hattrick Brilliant performance that added what we needed to maintain possession where we needed it
-
Thank god, anyone who wants McTominay hasn’t watched him struggle to move a ball around for the ladt 2 years Awful player, not good defensively, not good in possession, but he has passion and moves around a bit….
-
I don’t think we were ever ready to drop north of 20m on Delap tbf and I do think he is better than the championship personally, be interesting watching his development
