Er, why? I work in a small store, I have to do all aspects of the joyous world of supermarket work.
-
Old Bill were taking plenty of photos of individual fans tonight at the end of the game. Perhaps they saw this thread?

I work in a Tesco, the impatience of some people is amusing. One bloke was buying a Pink, he put his 50p in the coupon slot (pretty bloody obvious the slot isn't for coins). My mate told him he'd get the manager down as he had the keys to open up the machine, said he wouldn't be long. After about 30 seconds, the bloke turns to my colleague and says "You haven't even called the manager, have you" even though it was clear he did, he threw the paper at him and said "You can keep your bloody 50p" and stormed out the shop. Manager was down about 30 seconds after. What a plank.

There are a lot of Saints fans on twitter, I prefer it to facebook.

Well happy with the appointment.

I bet people who lost family and loved ones that day find it difficult to move on. I started this thread on September the 11th as it is one of those days where you think "I remember exactly where I was when that happened". There's no blubbering, just interesting to hear people's interpretations as the events unfolded. If you don't like it you don't have to reply do you.

Football: Southampton. Cricket: Aaaaaampshire. Baseball: Boston Red Sox. NFL: Dallas Cowboys.

Excellent, thanks.

RIP all the victims of 9/11, nine years ago today. Everyone remembers where they were when it happened, I had just moved to a new town, was getting ready for football training round a mate's and his little brother came in and said a plane had crashed into the World Train Centre. Wasn't until we went downstairs and saw it on the news we realised what had happened, I was only 10. Will never forget that. Where were you when it happened?

Was in Size, they had them in 8 and 10 and I'm size 9, nightmare. Think the black ones are quite an old colourway, so not many about, seen the Navy and they are a nice trainer, but ideally want them in black (Just to be awkward).
-
Black pair of Spezials are next on my list but difficult to find it seems.

The man who helped manage the restoration lives on my street, so we often get it fly over our house quite low. The noise is immense, it's quality. On one of these occasions I was at work just down the road, it flew over setting car alarms off and people in the shop didn't have a clue what was going on. Great aircraft.

Yeah I agree!!!! Throwing a toilet roll will definitely get Southampton Football Club banned from Ms Dons. Think about it, that's 1 less game per season, 3 points missed, just cos of a toilet roll. You lot are completely bonkers.

The Good Old Days - but would you want them back?

I was too young to appreciate the Dell really, was 9/10 when we moved to St. Mary's, so for me, that's where most my Saints memories are. I envy you all who got to stand on the Milton watching all those class players. I think I used to sit in the East stand when I occasionally went with my Dad. I had a tour for one of my birthdays, I'm pleased I do have some memories of the Dell. -
I drink in the Plume every other Saturday, and have been in some absolute sh!tholes on away days, with no complaints. This pub in Swindon was just rubbish though.
-
Would rather be surrounded by working class Saints fans, much like every Saturday.
-
Dune, thought you were staunchly against labels?
-
Cheers for the info guys. Getting bottled would be sh!t, a bit more than 'not very pleasant'. Not very pleasant is waiting ages to get served in a grotty pub around a load of pikey Swindon fans. Wasn't the best pub I've ever been in.
-
Apparently Merlin is quite near the ground, has Sky Sports, and is fairly decent. Town centre is only 20 minutes away. Not going in their home fans only pub like last time, wasn't very pleasant. We're driving to this one, anyone have any recommendations on where to park? (Preferably for free).

I know, it was quite ironic the Nazis burned his work in 1933, his warning would come come true. I was just referring to it as it held some relevance, you're right, should have given the quote reference, truth is, I'm too tired and can't be arsed. For what it's worth, I think the church should be allowed to burn the book, whether it's right or not is a different matter. They should think of the consequences, a lot of extremists are gonna be p!ssed off, but then again it's the same extremists that deem it ok to burn the US flag - Something the Americans are sensitive about. Who knows. The world is one ****ed up place.

"Where they burn books, they will also burn people."

Yeah the away team keeper was alright, none of the goals were his fault. -
