What has all that waffle got to do with anything? We needed to be a colonial power back in the day to survive aswell as to flourish. It had to happen and you should be grateful it did or we'd have lost to Napoleon and Hitler. Labour f/cked up in the uncontrolled way we exited and this resulted in millions of deaths through famine, genocide and lack of medical treatment because of subsequent poor governance. These are the facts Andy. It doesn't suit you I know, but that is how it was and that is how it is.
