I have only recent started buying the Daily Mail (previously I was a staunch Express reader) and you are spot on - he is saying the right things. Whether there is any substance to his words only time will tell, but if he is sucessful it will improve education in this country. I would also like to see GCSE examinations made less easy. Every year they are made easier which looks good for politicians, but it isn't in the interests of students to earn dumbed down qualifications.

I will always 'out do you' because I am right and I understand the subject and how it should be taught. Your biggest achiles heel is your attitude problem and big headedness. You think you know it all, but you don't even get the basics. History can teach us a lot, but only if it is taught properly in the way Michael Gove is advocating i.e give the facts and allow students to privately come to their own conclusions of the rights and wrongs. You are not an authority on any area of the subject and from your contributions on here I can say with confidence that you never will be. To be able to guide and analyse history requres a balanced approach and a UAF/far Left supporter can never give this.

This is where you are wrong, and you showing yourself up in your true Socialist colours. The interpretation of history should always be a personal matter, and not for people like you to influence. Take colonial Africa as an example. My interpreation would be completely different to yours.
-
It was necessary for the advancement of British interests in the colonies which had a direct influence on the affluence of the mother country and our ability to defend ourselves from invasion from Napoleon.
-
That is how it should be. Children should be taught the facts, the facts and nothing but the facts. It is then up to them to think about these facts and to draw their own private conclusions. By analysing the facts people like you are able to influence how they are interpretted and given your UAF/far Left attitude you especially are not fit to mediate this.

Of course it was the players fault, but you cannot say it was not also NA's fault. After the lack lustre display against Notts County if I was NA I would have been furious and let fly. I don't think NA did hence the non comitted display against Tranmere with players more interested in not picking up injuries before the Man Utd game. Judging by NA's reaction from the bench during the Tranmere game I would expect he'd have been furious with them and will have layed into them big time. So long as a lesson has been learnt that's fine.

It's just banter, and the end of the day that is the best therapy for people that have bought into the Socialist inspired victim culture that is so prevalent in todays society. The concept of giving "a hand out not a hand up" is at the core of Marxist-Socialist ideology. Instead of pandering to insecurities what people need is advice that enables them to help themselves.

At least I can debate and put my case forward. I can see you really struggling to comes to terms with the new curriculum where facts are the order of the day, not political brainwashing.

An Orwellian quote like that is too good not to use because it perfectly sums up the last 13 dark years under Labour. The war on motorists, cctv on every corner, detention without charge, the erosion of freedom of speech. I could go on and on. Socialism is a totalitarian ideology that is all about centralisation of power and the erosion of individual freedom. Socialists hate the concept of people earning money and spending that money as they so choose. You have a lot to learn, but hopefully with a new curriculum and a change of political direction you will start to grow up and see some sense.

I have absolutely no time for champagne Socialists and Denham is right up there in this hypocritical motley crew. John Denham's expenses John Denham kept his expenses simple while claiming the maximum possible under the second homes allowance. His monthly mortgage claims for his terraced house in Islington, north London, stood at £1,284 in 2005, rising to £1,533 by 2007. The new Communities Secretary, who has responsibility for housing policy, also claimed for utilities, maintenance, insurance, television licence, council tax and phone bills. In addition, the taxpayer paid him up to £250 a month for food and £25 a week to have the house cleaned. In 2005, he spent £2,479 on two chairs and a rug from John Lewis, and £400 the next year for a washing machine. This was followed in 2007 by a claim for £2,792 to have a bathroom wall damp-proofed. He was one of a number of ministers to use their office allowances to pay for personal tax advice from an accountant. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/mps-expenses/cabinet-expenses/5602014/John-Denhams-expenses.html As for Abbot she is even more of a hypocrite. In the case of Socialism and Socialist ideologies doing the exact opposite is the right thing to do. socialist policy is abhorrent to the British ideas of freedom. Socialism is inseparably interwoven with totalitarianism and the object worship of the state. It will prescribe for every one where they are to work, what they are to work at, where they may go and what they may say. Socialism is an attack on the right to breathe freely. No socialist system can be established without a political police. They would have to fall back on some form of Gestapo, no doubt very humanely directed in the first instance Winston Churchill.

I've always defended MacMenemy up unitl now, but he's gone too far this time and needs to be put in a home. Just **** off MacMenemy if you can't support the club like everyone else.

I'm always being serious apart from when i'm not. In the case Michael Goves reforms of course i'm encouraged by what he's saying. To have a politician speaking against political correctness has far wider implications than just education. It signals a sea change in attitude between the nanny state Labour Party and the freedoms of the Conservative party.

I bet you're a right laugh.

If everygame we play is a cup final then why weren't we at the races? That comment is fine for a fan to make, but isn't the sort of comment that is acceptable from a manager against a team from the same division. It's patronising, condescending and arrogant.

I think you need to post a pic of her/link to her page on the dating site. We can then better assess the situation.
-
So she was going to dump you, and to save face you got in first. Therefore i'm inclined to think Turkish has got his assessment correct.

I wouldn't have said anything if I'd known you were going to react like this.

http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/showthread.php?27749-Adkins-post-Tranmere-interview Can you please comment on your remarks r.e Punchion and explain why his condition is worthy of ridicule but similar comments on the "Is Life All That?" thread weren't?
-
You have allowed yourself to use the American spelling. There is no need. I always use the word "programme" at work and have never been asked to dumb the word down.
-
You were clearly after sympathy because you have been critical of the constructive contributions to deal with your issues. I don't think you are completely bonkers, but you are half vegetarian so you're not exactly normal and starting a thread "Is Life Really All That?" is not something a poster of sound mind would do.

He's right about political correctness, and I think it's brilliant that he's come out and said what he thinks. Since the Conservatives got into office it's like a dark cloud has been lifted and our civil liberties are slowly being restored.
