There clearly are comparisons. Both Lowe and Cortese fell out with the Echo. Lowe and Lawrie didn't get along, Cortese has a dig at Lawrie AND MLT.

To be fair we are a third division club so even if we wanted better players, and were prepared to pay the going rate or even a bit more, most would still prefer to play for a club in a higher division.
  5. You're the one demeaning yourself because most of those costs equally apply to window sales which carry no ticket tax. It's the cost of postal sales over and above window sales that i'm refering to and basically that amounts to a first class stamp and an envelope. If you wish to add outsourcing ticket selling then fine, but is the cost of this any more than employing an in house sales team? It might even be less, but it certainly doesn't warrant the £3 fee per order.
  6. Is he a ginger winger?
  7. I wouldn't be surprised - charging the most possible is imo how Cortese plans to run the club. Supporters in other countries would not accept it, but judging by the responses on threads by some (thanks for the pm support from those who don't want to put their heads above the tsw parapet btw) we as a nation of football fans that will just accept being ripped off.
  8. The problem with paying on the gate is that at some stage I may need games recorded on my customer number to qualify for other tickets, and paying on the gate in some instances may be more expensive.
  9. The point is that the fee is wrong. You have said as much yourself. I know you have an agenda against me to uphold, but that doesn't change the issue. I live 150 miles away and in unreserved seated stands I find it most convenient to buy my ticket online/over the phone.

  11. There's no reasoning with a troll.
  12. Of course it's not true. Are you being serious or is this just your usual trolling?

All the CEO's i've worked for have been as you describe.
  14. You do troll some rubbish.

lol dulldays, you've changed your tune.
  16. I do travel to most games on my own (due to my location) , but I always meet up with people I know. Big deal.
  17. I want to buy online/over the phone. I don't want to be ripped off for using this method of purchase. Is that really such a difficult concept to grasp?
  18. The fair and ethical way of selling tickets is to incorporate the costs in the price of the ticket. If the club wished to add a fair p+p for postal sales I would not have a problem.
  19. It's getting that way, but it's still unethical and morally wrong especially given the high price SFC are going to charge. A stamp costs 39p, an envelope costs roughly 10p. So that's £2.50 for doing no more (probably less) than a window sale.
  20. But selling tickets is the product of the club. I'd suggest it costs no more to employ a call centre operator than it does to employ a ticket office worker. It would also require less man hours to sort out an online sale than a window sale because the details are sorted on the screen with an online sale, as oposed to having to deal with enquiries and then the sale at the window.
  21. I would be happy to pay for P+P.
  22. You completely miss the point. Why should I find ways of avoiding to pay the ticket tax when booking online/over the phone is the most convenient method for me? The issue is that the charge is unfair.
  23. By that logic would you complain if the price of a pint was £6? i.e the cost plus a £3 service charge.
  24. I think I know you, and if you are who I think you are, i'm right in saying you hardly miss a game. As JRM states it does seem that those who don't care about this tax are those who don't go very often. No dig at Delldays intended.
  25. I would have complained if Lowe had introduced this, Wilde had introduced this, Crouch had introduced this. So I will conplain now. I was disgusted having to pay a booking fee when I went to Elland rd with some Leeds supporting mates last year and had a bloody good moan about it so i'm not going to be a hypocrite and now be accepting of something which I believe is unethical and inherrently wrong.
