It always amuses me how at stadiums with electronic turnstiles they still require a turnstile attendant to show people how it operates.

I have made my mind up abour Cortese now, and I don't like him.
-
I haven't got a fax machine.
-
Cortese may be effective in most businesses, but he seems to be struggling as a chairman where he's in the spotlight. He has already made several errors of judgement and his bombastic nature will ensure that he continues to make mistakes.
-
He wants us to think he's not a media whore because he doesn't want to be seen as being like Rupert Lowe, but he is like Lowe and loves the limelight. The fact he banned the Echo for reporting a story that was reported elsewhere first shows he's full of himself. I dislike him primarily because of his dig against MLT because it shows that he has no respect for a club legend and therefore has no idea about the history of our club or how the fans feel towards Matt. Corteseb thinks he's all that, but he's not, he's just a jumped up little ****.
-
It makes perfect sense. Put yourself in Pardews position and the lack of denial despite continued speculation speaks volumes. If I was AP and a club came along wanting my services i'd tell Cortese to stick his job because you can be sure AP isn't going to be here for long and Cortese will get shut as soon as we have a bad run.
-
I will be buying away tickets on the day where possible, i.e for Northern games where there will be loads going, but for games where I have to pay the ticket tax i'll be paying by credit card so it costs the club more. If Cortese thinks it's ok to rip me off then I think it's ok for me to do my best to make sure they get the minimum profit from it.
-
Do you really believe Cortese didn't want to/wasn't going to sack AP?
-
The avatar is just to annoy Bungle.
-
The Germans said similar in the 1930's. Just because we are now financially stable doesn't mean we cannot criticise what is a kick in the teeth and a rip off.
-
If Cortese didn't want to be in the limelight he wouldn't have declared war on the Daily Echo and he wouldn't have slagged off Matt Le Tissier and Lawrie. The bloke's a pr11ck.
-
I hope so too. That way I can pay at the games. It might be £2 more on the day at some grounds , but at least i'll save £1 by not paying the ticket tax and won't be lining the coffers of SFC.
-
Yes, but it's a hassle. I ring up the club, give them the card details, and have them posted to the door. I'm not going to change how I buy tickets but the club can wave good bye to the £40 I was going to spend on the new shirt and they can wave goodbye to any other money i'd have spent in the club shop, and they can wave good bye to me buying a programme. You're probably only talking £100 a season in extra's tops, but that saving will pay for the ticket tax. Also I'll do less home games because I no longer feel behind the new owners and therefore the good will and loyalty has gone.
-
Cortese may well be holding a gun to my head with the £3 ticket tax, but i'll recoup this rip off by not buying the new shirt, or any other extras such as programmes.
-
I'm going to be making a point of using my credit card to buy tickets in future as opposed to my debit card. The credit card costs the club more because of fee's so if they're going to rip me off with the ticket tax, i'm going to make sure they get hit with fee's in return. This rip off tax also means i'll be making a point of spending as little as possible on matchday extras - f*ck you Cortese.

Because it's all gossip. I could go on google and type in Roman Abramovic and in seconds have an idea of how many billion he's worth, but with Markus Liebherr all I know is that he's got a few cranes and few dumper trucks. And even if he is a Billionaire how much money is tied up in his businesses?
-
Nor time to provide evidence of Markus' billionaire status. That's odd because everyone says he's a billionaire yet nobody has ever justified this. Are we talking £1 billion, £5 billion, more?
-
I used to think Mark Jackson owned Rank Xerox and lived in a Beverly Hills ranch. I then found out he was a photo copier salesman who lived in a bedsit in Boscombe. The point i'm making is that the facts often don't match the gossip.
-
It's your thread and you stated ML is a billionaire, yet i've not see a single shred of evidence to back this up.
-
Source?
-
I'll trust you to provide the figures (and for others to double check them).
-
It's a shame Gordon Brown didn't research the Wall Street crash. But i digress.
-
But is Markus a billionaire?
-
That's like saying god exists because you can't prove he/it doesn't exist. We're not talking about the supernatural here, we're talking about a statement - "Markus Liebherr is billionaire". Can anyone prove it or is it just gossip?
-
Are we?
