Pardew is on borrowed time imo. I think Cortese wanted him gone at the end of the season, but revered his decision in lieu of the reaction from fans.
-
If they'd done that they couldn't have taxed away tickets.
-
The feud with the Echo, the stories of club staff not being allowed to talk to him, the way he had a dig at MLT and Lawrie, the Pardew speculation, and now the season ticket prices/lack of an installment plan/booking tax on tickets. Take away Markus's money and I see very little difference between Cortese and Lowe.
-
A lot of away grounds sell tickets at a discount in advance, but with the booking tax added on it'll be cheaper to pay on the day. For Southern/London games you may need to pay the booking tax, but for midlands/northern games i'd imagine 90% of the time paying on the day won't be an issue. I can see Cortese's stealth tax reducing our away following.
-
Don't bother asking him, he's like Glasgow Saint and hardly goes to any games anyway. None of these measures affect him to any significant degree.

Cortese is an Italian version of Ken Bates. It's clear he doesn't give a **** about the fans and is working on the principle that if the team is winning the peasants will pay up. This strategy if fine when all's going well, but it works both ways and when the team isn't winning the seats don't sell. Just look at Leeds and their 20,000 gates during the bad times. If Leeds gates can drop to 20,000 because of rip off prices/bad results our level under these circumstances must be 15,000.
-
It will be. They cashed in on the JPT final so it's obvious they're going to cash in on every ticket sold over the phone or online.
-
If Cortese thinks he can rip us off in this divsion you can only imagine how he'd love to rip us off in the CCC and the Premier League. I want us to go up, but at least now if we stay down it'll be nice to think of Cortese being gutted he can't move onto the next phase of his pricing strategy.
-
Correct, this is the work of Cortese.
-
Stop trolling, i'm pretty ******ed off about this. Football isn't football anymore, it's just a big rip off.
-
Well i'm not going to go out of my way to travel down to St Marys now, although I bet the C**ts add the booking tax onto away tickets too.
-
The forum plants return, are you Cortese or some joey he's payed to post on here?
-
Is this per ticket or per order, and does it apply to away games aswell? I knew the club were lieing about the booking fee for the JPT final and sure enough they've rolled it out for next season. If Cortese is charging £25 - £28 for third division football I dread to think what he'll be wanting to charge should we get back to the premiership.
-
£3 booking fee - what a ****ing joke. So that means every time I want a ticket it's going to be £25. Sod that, I don't get down to St Marys very often, but i'll get down even less now on principle because i'm not being ripped off like that. Cortese is a ****ing arsehole.
-
I'm no longer a season ticket holder and when I was never payed in installments, but the cost is a lot particularly to families. Mr Cortese has made a bad decision on this one and it will result in fewer sales and an alienation of some fans.

I really think this is Englands year.

lol, i'm not CP.
-
I certainly do. Chesters a good lad.
-
I know who he is and he was nobody important, just on a windup.
-
For good reason in lieu of the FACT all the competing factions had infiltrated and were weaving their webs. Thank god those days are gone.
-
Nobody important.

Can't remember the name, but one of the top people at the firm had a Jewish name from recollection, maybe Cohen? This article makes me lol. http://www.offthepost.info/2009/04/rupert-lowe-blames-internet-forums-for-the-breakdown-of-his-relationship-with-southampton-fans/
