  1. That was just divs shouting that (and collectively chortling at each other for doing it because it's sooooo funny to shout Steve) when he warmed up down the side of the pitch.
  2. i think it was more than that, maybe 20? TBH i wasn't clock watching and the game flew by.
  3. Nothing special, he's obviously been told to keep it more simple and he's just carried on from the Reading game. His days playing for us are numbered. He had one shot from about 20 yards which at 3 up was acceptable, but it was nowhere near and more a reaction to the happy clappys shouting shoot. but nows not the time for being negative.
  4. All we should be thinking about is winning at Middlesbrough, it doesn't matter what anyone else does.
  5. Billy Sharp was also very good, big and strong on the ball, he held he ball up a treat there was no pushing him around tonight. He seems to have improved a lot in the time he's been here. credit to him and Nigel Adkins for that.
  6. Sharp played well, he looked big and strong and held the ball up well a la Beattie.
  7. I thought that was a thoroughly professional performance. Special mention must go to Chaplow who worked his socks off.
  8. What people (both left and right) are crying out for is a return to core party values. The tories need to move to the right, Labour need to move to the left. It won't happen though because there are far too many career politicians and not enough conviction politicians.
  9. What happened in Winchester and Romsey in 2010?
  10. Should this mean that a UKIP representative should replace the wishy washy Liberal on question time? The Liberals are all for proportional representation afterall.
  11. 1. It keeps Ed in his job. 2. It will hopefully stir the Tory right. I welcome this poll.
  12. Edit the title should read Saintandy666 and SuperMikey. An easy mistake to make.

  15. And they came to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the money-changers, and the seats of them that sold doves... (Mark 11:15) And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves... (Matthew 21:12) And he went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold therein, and them that bought... (Luke 19:45) And (he) found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables... (John 2:14-15) "Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I came to set a man against his father, and a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law; and a man's enemies will be the members of his household. He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who has found his life will lose it, and he who has lost his life for My sake will find it." (Matthew 10:34-39) "I have come to cast fire upon the earth; and how I wish it were already kindled!" ... "Do you suppose that I came to grant peace on earth? I tell you, no, but rather division; for from now on five members in one household will be divided, three against two and two against three."... (Luke 12:49,51-53 NASB) "If anyone comes to Me, and does not hate his own father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be My disciple." (Luke 14:26) "But now, whoever has a money belt is to take it along, likewise also a bag, and whoever has no sword is to sell his coat and buy one." (Luke 22:36) "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts upon the earth: fire, sword, war. For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and two against three, father against son and son against father, and they will stand alone." From the non canonical Gospel of St Thomas Did Jesus really do all this on the back of his good looks and charm?
  16. Were you the ballast?
  17. He's not insane in the sense of being away with the faeries because his meticulous planning and execution was very intelligent. He's just evil much like the architects of the final solution in NAZI Germany and the equally cruel people behind the Communist purges. And if you go further back in history it is littered with psycopaths who committed mass murder and cruelty. Empires were built on such acts including the British Empire than only survived because of the threat of severe retribution.
  18. I'm afraid those days are over, Nicole has made it his mission to smarten up the great unwashed and pikies in last seasons shirts are at the top of his hit list.

    Rain

Oh dear. I'm just west of P'boro and there's been a bit of rain overnight to water in my weed and feed, now it's cloudy with the sun poking through. Forecast is for mainly sunshine from now on with a slight risk of a shower in the afternoon.
  20. Bristol City are 4/1 with Hills. That has got to be worth a flutter.
  21. 20 miles west it's cloudy, but at least the rain has cleared.
  22. Reading murdered them. It was the same as us beating Leeds and Reading beating us.
  23. Just been watching the images of him smirking before proceedings start today. They should just hang him and be done with it.
  24. Reading might lose. It's not a foregone conclusion that they will win.
