VAR, a Certain Romance? It's fucked the beautiful game and converted it to a game of spreadsheets and red lines. Fun!

I was in a huge grump yesterday evening, so that caused a few marital misunderstandings, for sure. 'Childish' was all I remembered hearing as I sipped a cup of tea in a quiet grump.

He's such a frustrating player. Every player misses chances, but not to the extent and severity of this guy.

Be nice to get back to winning ways at Wembley. I'm excited, I must say. I think the fact that everyone still has clear mememories of the last time we were in the playoffs says it all, that was over 15 years ago. This could well be another memory-maker. Despite my excitement, I am a bit worried about our tendency to 'bottle' high-stakes games. Whether that is a sliced finish, a poor choice of pass or a defender's brain turning off at a key moment. We have enough in attack to put teams out of it in the first leg, if we bring our shooting boots. West Brom or Norwich, both very much beatable.

More and more I see some of the players as the issue, not the manager. Too many of them are naive and wasteful, prone to errors of judgement, mishits, scuffs and brain farts.
-
We've been edged all season and I'm afraid there's no happy ending (yet). We'll see if the playoffs can provide a reprieve for the team, who at the moment look to bottle it a bit when we have a chance to seize the initiative.

Some emotional overreactions on here. Simple as this: we need to take more of our chances. This could easily have been another Preston if we had.
-
Erm, what the fuck? How did we not win this game, let alone lose it!
-
Do you think West Brom look beatable if we were to face them in the playoffs? Either way, boys, we're going up. Whether automatic or at Wembley.

Is that the English chav culture version of the Haka?

The idea of fan zones and improving the 'experience' for fans with things to do outside the stadium is a good little idea. Keep those young kids coming, who'll hopefully develop into long-term supporters as adults.

Can't see anything but a routine 2-0 win for the lads on Saturday. I'm hoping Che scores and continues to build his confidence.

Radio Solent having a jerk-fest about 'Good Old Pompey'. Fuck em.

Absolutely this. If only we'd have kept Lavia or JWP. If we'd won against Rotherham and Millwall and Hull... let's stop with the what ifs!

Thanks for the positivity!

So close to my 4-0 prediction! Dominant performance. Preston the perfect team for us to play. I dont think we'll have such an easy ride in our next four. Win them all. Why not?
-
Weirdly I find it hard to bet directly against Saints. I'll happily pop money on our rivals to jinx them, though.
-
This is the thing: you never know.

Can't see anything but a convincing win here for Saints. I'd like to see Edozie start in lieu of Brooks. Manning deserves to take his place at left back, too. 4-0 to Saints.
-
I mean, we've won two on the bounce. Can we put together a ridiculous winning run? We're a bit sloppy in defence sometimes, so it'll be tricky...
-
Maybe we can give him to Valenciennes?

Abso-fucking-lutely. Nothing in football beats the feeling of SMS rocking to the foundations. Mental stuff, love it.
