I don't know how transfer moneys are paid and you may be right about going through the FL which means they'll be holding it for them but it also depends on how the deal is structured. The offer could be to pay 400k as soon as the bank accounts are unfrozen. Then again it could be x (which could be zero) upfront with y later (depending on appearances etc). Who knows.

The latter - better get them shoes on. Matchday revenue will cover the costs of the matchday expenses and some players wages.....that is as long as they get the minimum required crowd which should be no problem for the bestest fans...........oh, they're f***ed then.

They are just trash that print anything that chavs will want to read. No doubt they will get the odd story right but with regards to the Strachan rumour that turned out to actually be true they may well have guessed based on the fact it was pretty obvious that Gray was under pressure and Strachan had just been sacked by Coventry, basically doing with the Mirror does best - putting 2 and 2 together and making 5 (in this case they actually made 4 for once).

I have to disagree. I don't see how Minty complaining about fickle posters who whinge and are dismissive of the clubs ambition just because we've not signed Messi means we are spoilt children - don't get your point. Also just because I live in Australia doesn't mean I can not make my own mind up about some of the posts on here. My comments on Minty's posts were specifically around the highlighted quotes: There does seem to be a number of posters on here who can not accept the fact that no matter how much we try to sign a top draw player it sometimes doesn't happen due to numerous reasons. From what rumours I have read it appears that some of our failures to sign players is because we won't pay over the odds on price or wages but that sits fine with me as I'd like to think that the club is not going to throw cash around just to get certain players because I have very vivid memories of when we were in admin. It doesn't mean that we're no being ambitious. Also as Minty mentioned the window is still open for a couple of days so we still have opportunities to sign as required.
