  1. Possibly the least interesting or charasmatic commentator ever, on the Walsall Player commentary.
  2. Anyone on here play? I've got one friend who does and am thinking of playing next season for his team or someone else but it's been awhile since I played so wondered what the standard was like?
  3. Must say I completely disagree. Sometimes he tries more longer balls to try switch play and these are noticeable if they don't come off, but generally speaking I think Richardson is slightly better, partly because he seems more aware of his options. Neither are outstanding passers, but also it must be said that in general a full back is often left with less options to pass to because of his position on the pitch and so can be more harshly judged. If the opposition close down midfield options, more often than not they are left with only the option of a percentage ball down the line or into the channel. The midfield and his centre backs can help by making themselves more available. You're relying on others to move for you more in that position, than when the ball is in the middle of the park.
  4. Nice. Kept the pressure on and scored again. Very professional comeback after conceding the equaliser, and a lot of credit due to the lads. Anxiety could've crept in and allowed Swindon to get on top but we stepped up and closed the game out. The earlier points about the 30 minutes where we sat back is valid, but in the great scheme of things, you have to be happy with the response and the total performance over 90 minutes.
  5. Lets be honest, we would've been expecting Bournemouth to win that game. We just gotta get our results.
  6. Sounding like we've stayed on top as the game continues, which is as important as the score, IMO, to control the game...
  7. And we could've had three in the first half but for the woodwork. Not to mention a million other potential scenarios. To be fair, you are always looking for ways to improve the team and our performances, which is exactly what should happen. However, it just feels that you never acknowledge any of the positives or that it is still a game and we cannot control 90 minutes of every game.
  8. If Peterborough are starting to sort their defence out they then will be a real contender. Then again, until they've scored 6, they're not as good as us
  9. Maybe we did. Games are 90 minutes. Judgements should be made at the end, based on the actual evidence of what happens. It's a shame you attract so much attention Alpine, and much of the language is not appropriate, but surely you must see how you attract it by making such statements sometimes? If you could just moderate them and wait and see, you would help yourself so much.
  10. I lose track of how many seasons I've been saying that.
  11. And so the emotion-o-meter swings back the other way...
  12. lol at some of the comments after one goal. If this country ever goes to war, I never want to be anywhere near some of you people with your defeatist attitudes. Yes of course we need to stop up and yes of course we need to improve. So let's see what happens.
  13. Now is the time for the fans to realyl make themselves heard and get behind the team, and not get on the teams back. Now is when we can make a difference.
  14. There's no right or wrong about it. Some people are more anxious and nervous about Saints than others. I tend to be quite relaxed, but that's just me. We all want Saints to do well and just show it in different ways.
  15. Guly shot wide, damnit... bright start at least.
  16. This was meant in a complimentary way, i.e. that we're in control and can step up at any time. I would say over recent weeks we've struggled to step up...
  17. Swindon commentators think that we're playing within ourselves and can step up at any time.

Sorry, I just don't quite follow. In order to make a judgement, we have to know what we are judging him on. If we are judging him on whether we get promoted or not then by definition it clearly is too early to judge, because we don't know yet if he will achieve that or not!? Obviously there will be opinions about how we will do and even more obviously, those opinions are always influenced by the most recent results. As a result, we get this kind of thread after a few poorer performances (which, by the way, I fully accept... we have not been anywhere near as good recently), but this is just the opposite of what we get after beating Oldham 6-0 away. Polar opposite, knee jerk reactions, neither of which take into account the performance across the season as a whole. If we do that, it's clear, as has been shown, that we are on target for promotion. There are plenty of 'tedious yawntastic' opinions on this thread, on both sides of the argument... it seems repetition is the only way some people know how to try and make their point, and I have no intention of adding to that, being slightly guilty of it myself already.
  19. I thought we already had an Adkins thread, with all the same arguments, and just as few conclusions? Do we need another one?
  20. Given some of the things others have said, I think you're safe. The9 is spot on, but then this thread has become a bit circular and others have made the same or similar points to him previously. Most people have made up their mind and clearly won't be swayed. Until maybe after the next result.
  21. No one is being taken for a ride and to say they are is tantamount to accusing them of fraud. They're running things in the way they feel is best and have been let down by the hosting providers I believe. They're not perfect, just like you and me, and I'm sure they would be glad of any helpful suggestions, but given that they know a damn site more about hosting than probably 98% of members of this site, I think such accusations are out of order, without any kind of proof. Also, with respect to the Brighton poster, without specific details about the load on their server vs ours, it's easy to *say* 'I bet we get as much traffic as you do' but that proves nothing.
  22. lol, that's a sure-fire way of getting the thread to descend into chaos! Let's stick to Brighton on this thread... it's one of the few with decent discussion and that has seemingly remained respectful!

But I do fart alot! Only one way to solve this - watch Top Gear and see if you're offended or not.

If you lived elsewhere, I'm sure Southampton would be much lower in the survey.
