Every year since we had the misfortune to cross paths with Burley, I have banged on about sharp and early transfer activity when the season closes. Every year the club goes on holiday immediately for most of the summer break, then wakes up scratching its arse 3 weeks before the first refs whistle. And every year those of us who advocate early and decisive action get ridiculed about it. This summer we have the "There's a European Championship on" excuse to look forward to.
