My other thread was about a greater trend of club slow activity and non-communication, the transfer activity only being a small part of that.

I answered that question several times, actually. Signing identified targets now prevents other clubs coming in and gazumping us.

I dont start threads to get loads of emotional support and pats on the back, like you do. I can live with no-one agreeing with me, I am just disturbed at the level of complaicency for next season.... Being the fan of a team that frequently leaves its pre-season preparation too late - last season of which being the extreme example of this - and knowing what our goals are for this season, I expected an early sign of intent and am disappointed this has not occured. We have lost both Papa and Antonio, who contributed a lot in my opinion. Vultures are circling Schneiderlin, and we have released 13 other players, significantly reducing squad depth. If you think this an optimal position to be in, so be it. I think you are being complaicent.

I dont recall saying the team will perform worse. However, if they dont perform better, especially in the first 2 months (always been a weakness of us), we will not be in contention for auto promotion at the end of the season, a goal which I think is pretty much taken for granted in these parts.

We need back-up for Schnedierlin whether he goes or stays. My comment was based on him staying, so that blows sneer 1 of yours out of the water. He gets injured and has a small disciplinary issue. Yes, we have Barnard, and if Rickie gets injured that's about it because Connolly cannot be depended upon. I think (and I its my opinion that I am entitled to) we need another forward. I dont rate Seaborne or consider him first-choice. I would like to see another CB, again my right to think so. I dont consider myself ill-informed, and I still think my concerns about Lallana and Schneiderlin were valid. Certainly, I reviewed my opinion at the end of the season (unlike some of you, I am capable of this) and definitely think Schneiderlin should stay, Lallana leaving would still not destroy me.

And all of that is stopping the other teams ? Huddersfield have already secured three players.

In order of priority : RB - obvious CM - to make things happen in the absence of Schneiderlin Up front - Cant see Connolly doing a large part of the season, too dependent upon Lambert CB - too dependent upon Fonte and Jaidi

Wouldnt you like for once for SFC to do their dealing early in the summer and have a reasonably settled team with a full pre-season behind them raring to go from the first kick-off ? I think we are 3-4 players short of what we need for a successful promotion campaign, a significant disturbance to the first 11.

FFS, it is not a wind up ! Rumours are short on the ground at the moment, but everyone is accompanied by "Club X is also tracking" or "Club X is also interested". Do we want to lose our targets to Club X because they were willing to fork out a few weeks earlier ?

Forget sleeping through June, you clearly sleep through our sh*t start to every season through August and September...
