  1. If it prevents someone else snapping up our targets, yes. In addition, I still cannot comprehend why people think the World Cup is somehow a block on our transfer activity at this level.
  2. Same old crap about dragging our feet on the transfer market and all the best players for this level being taken by both Lowe and Cortese, I note..
  3. Rubbish. I posted this because I am exasperated already. We knew with about 5 games to go the play-offs werent going to happen. I want to know why transfers were not identified then and signed after the window started.
  4. What's the World Cup to do with our transfer activity ? I must have missed the rumours about us snapping up Messi and Kaka...
  5. Yep, and I received the same abuse all summer long before we started the 2006/2007 season with no CBs.
  6. Nothing but rumours, no solid transfer activity, gaps in the team to fill as usual (this case RB and CM). Pre-season around the corner, and "gelling" until October ensuring no automatic promotion. We need to start this season on our feet and already running, and the same old b*ll*cks is occuring.
  7. This still going ? I made a move for Megan Fox - guess what, same result...
  8. Excellent post. Some people want the glory football and promotion, but arent willing to pay the going rate for it. Also hose who are bleating about not affording STs for him and his 3 kids because they have just been made redundant (my geuine sympathies - f**k the banking industry...) or are credit black-listed should have other priorities in life than going to footie every week, imo....
  9. My thanks to NC and ML; without them we'd have no club.
  10. Absolutely f**king pathetic.
  11. Indeed, and I get accused of only being happy when I moan
  12. Indeed. This thread is a f**king joke and is frankly embarrassing.
  13. GreaT news. I dont want to see any old famous club go out of business and their name pass into history. Oh, except Portsmuff of course..
  14. Lennon was much better on Sunday. C'est la vie...
  15. Dont agree. If defaulted installments IS the reason, to say so would be tantamount to saying "I dont trust you lot"
  16. Not really a contradiction, completely different areas of the financing industry.
  17. Not a good PR ploy to come out in public and accuse your fan base of being a load bad credit risks, methinks...
  18. Could it be that a lot of people defaulted on their installments last season ?
  19. Surely you are not telling him you wont be taking him at all, are you ?
  20. I would suggest you direct that comment to those that are whining their arses off. I dont believe for one moment that is what has happened, but I am pointing out that the OP is absurd.
  21. So if ML has ditched us already, will you all be so pleased about the results against Exeter, Brentford, Wycombe, Colchester, Swindon... If what you are insinuating has come to pass, dont forget that some of us were warning that this could happen...
  22. Bit of an overreaction, imo. I would suggest that the amount of time this has taken to release means there has been some sort of problem, the nature of which we have not got a clue about. I would be interested to know how many STs last season were on an installment scheme. Perhaps it is a lot less than you perceive from the posts on here and the overheads for the system are ridiculous. After all, the word is there has been a credit crunch and cheap finance is hard to come by. Why not take out a bank loan over 1 year ? The interest would be f**k all. On the surface, it doesnt look good, but I expect some comment from the club to be soon forthcoming that explains matters.
  23. The post I responded to stated RBS. I only reacted to it.
  24. Typical RBS. They will screw any British institution to make up for Fred The Shred's f**k-ups. They funded Kraft's buy-out of Cadburys too.
